Lovely helpful staff. Great atmosphere Food cooked fresh and hot and tastes fantastic. When we holiday in lakes always go to Lewis for a lovely meal.

Great place to eat, not a big restaurant but plenty of atmosphere and extremely welcoming and helpful staff; food was excellent and leftovers could be taken home in a box! Would definitely recommend.

Lovely hearty pub food. We really enjoyed our evening. Great atmosphere as it was busy but very friendly and accommodating staff. We had a great fish pie , Cumberland sausage, gammon and egg, steak pie all delicious with the freshest vegetables peas red cabbage and carrots

Lovely food, fantastic staff and a great atmosphere. We actually overdid it - we don't usually eat three courses, but it was so delicious we couldn't resist! The chicken was cooked to perfection. We could easily have eaten here for every night of our holiday, except it isn't open on a Sunday. The hospitality was spot on.

A great find in the heart of Grasmere! It's not cheap but it's worth it. Great to see steak on the menu, this appeared to be difficult to find elsewhere. The atmosphere is great, you get the impression that nothing at all is too much trouble. We have dined here twice, two years running and look forward to returning again.

We were staying nearby at the campsite and popped in for Sunday dinner. We both had a brilliant roast dinner, lovely lively atmosphere. I wish we had a pub like this in our village.
