Baileys Bar and Restaurant – BuxtonThis has become our favourite place for food in Buxton. Ideal location if you’re visiting the Opera House. Yesterday I chose the Catalan Fish Stew - a tuna steak cooked to your preference on top of a gorgeous tomato based stew filled with large juicy mussels and king prawns - absolutely delicious. Hoping this stays on the menu for a while!

The Two Hares – Glossop5 star!
The Old Gate Inn – MatlockA 12 member university reunion group had a superb meal at Baileys. Each meal was extremely good and beautifully presented. The service was excellent, not rushed but not slow. We were in a room upstairs which was airy and spacious. The wine was also very good. Being a large group we had preordered several weeks before - everything was great.
Baileys Bar and Restaurant – BuxtonTried most places in Glossop now after not living here long. This is by far the best place to eat. The chef/s are obviously passionate about what they do! The bar/wait staff are absolutely incredible, very attentive, very friendly and always welcoming. My wife and I Absolutely love this place. Try it, you’ll see what I mean!
The Two Hares – GlossopA great meal for Father's day
Baileys Bar and Restaurant – BuxtonWe had another wonderful meal on Father's Day. Food was fantastic, fabulous quality and plenty of it! Staff were all very attentive and couldn't do enough for us. Big shout out to Nadia who really looked after all 8 of us (plus a baby in a highchair!). Prices are a little higher than some other places but the quality is top notch and I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for. Never had a disappointing meal at The Two Hares, simply delicious!!
The Two Hares – GlossopOne of the best Sunday lunches for a long time. Great atmosphere, lovely staff and value for money
Baileys Bar and Restaurant – BuxtonI was treated to a Father’s Day Sunday Roast after a visit to the gardens. The whole experience was wonderful. The gardens are a hidden gem in North Derbyshire and I’m amazed they don’t receive more attention. The volume of the Yew hedges and corner pyramids that create the various garden rooms are immense. The individual planting schemes are elegant and the surrounding woodland walks are enchanting. The food was delicious, generous and very good value for money, with a choice of chicken, pork or beef - or a combination. I had the beef which was beautifully succulent. The service was first class and the staff were polite and engaging. How nice to see service with a smile! It was a wonderful treat and I would heartily recommend a visit. Thank you.
