Free parking, lovely place, great staff, great food. Can highly recommend

A friend surprised me with a visit and Afternoon tea for my birthday and WOW, what a surprise it was. Beautiful place, super friendly staff in the café and ticket office and the Afternoon tea was delicious, so much so I bought some gift vouchers from the website when I got home for Christmas presents. They had even decorated the table for me which was a surprise to my friend too. What a great place and we will definitely be returning this year for sure. Thankyou, for making a fuss of me on my special birthday.

Went with my partner for a meal on New Years Eve, I had the Rump Steak and my partner had the Pythagoras pizza, the steak was cooked to perfection and my girlfriends pizza was incredible. Everything that came with the meals were delicious and we’ll definitely be coming back. Service was also great, greeted as soon as we walked in, drinks ordered and were quick to get them to us. Regular checks to make sure we were ok and happy too. Lovely staff! Plus, we were able to take the leftover pizza away in a box! Fab.

Food was lovely. Huge portions. Staff friendly and efficient. Not many people in the place when we went and it did feel quite cold. Sat with my coat on. Thats the only downside. Will definitely go there again.

Excellent pub, service is great. Food is excellent

The Plough is a lovely country pub with log burners and a quirky layout. The portions are huge (you can take leftovers home) and the food is delicious but the service could be better, we had lots of servers asking if our meal was okay and but then no one came back to our table to ask about dessert or to ask for the bill. Will definitely return, despite the sometimes slow service.

Really good Sunday lunch … Very good portion , size of meal was really adequate Food was hot . My only criticism would be serve gravy separately in a gravy boat on the table .

Absolutely delicious Sunday roast! I went with my husband on 5th November and we returned with his parents on 19th November and had the most amazing dinner on both occasions. Lovely little old pub with a great feel, nice character and beautiful food! Great portions and value for money. My only comment is that you don’t get asked if you’d like another drink very often, although our table was checked in terms of everything being ok with our meal. Also the carpark is pitch black now it’s winter and is quite dangerous when leaving in the dark. The lights were on when we arrived this Sunday but were out when we left so we had to use our phone torches to light the way.

We had Sunday Lunch at The Plough, both of us had roasts I had lamb and my husband beef. The food was delicious, mash, gorgeous crispy roast potatoes, roast carrots and parsnips, lovely yorkshire pudding, loads of meat, a big bowl of green veg and tasty gravy. The portion was large and everything on the plate was lovely, We would definitely eat here again and highly recommend.

Always a pleasant evening in The plough. The food is amazing, I would say it's my favourite restaurant to eat at if you want quality mouth watering food. Always a nice range of lagers on too. Lovely and local, we will always return as a treat!

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and decor. The food was lovely, the portions are huge and generous and I think well priced for what you get. I will definitely be returning in the near future.

Lovely food and great service. In some parts of the restaurants it’s very cold. The tables need some re-arranging as very squashed and quite difficult to get past each table. It’s very difficult for your staff to get past as well.

The service was really excellent and the pre-ordered food arrived in a timely fashion. We also enjoyed eating it . The portions are generous.

Absolutely fantastic service, great price and our meals were amazing. Incredibly tasty and very hot. Can’t wait for my next visit.
