I’m not one to complain but the food and service was rubbish. Meal come without cutlery, then had to ask for steak knives. Medium steak come rare. Wine come with no glasses. Two weeks prior we could not fault the food and service

Stake was just great , Chips was very poor, been fried three or four times ,and peas tasteless ,so yes could have better on an all round basis, will try again ,and hope for an improvement next time........

First time attending the ragley as a family of 4. When we arrived we were told by a member of staff to order via the app. However after 30mins of poor signal and unable to order via the app a member of staff stated we would be added to a list to order via a waiter. Food arrived about 15mins after and everything was too our liking. Recommendations I would make is to have child friendly activities e.g crayons and paper to keep them occupied whilst waiting for food. Our waiter was very friendly and accommodating, other staff were very laid back and lacked professionalism at times. Not sure if I would come again.

So, totally rubbish reception. Ignored for ages by probably about 6 people (all young, clearly not trains properly). Food came really quick. They sure can cook a steak but I had ribs and chicken. Very dry chicken Got to be honest not especially good value - £24 for a fillet steak (cooked to perfection) but no frills and very basic

We visited The Ragley Boat Stop last night and I can't say I was impressed. Staff were serious down in the dumps, just shuffling round the place and didn't really make much effort. Tried to order our food at the bar but was told we "had to use the app" which took a lifetime as you need to sign up for accounts with a password the CIA couldn't crack. Food arrived 30 mins later - steaks were swimming in a watery liquid (not their juices), curly fries were hard & cold and the mushrooms just tasted horrid. Overall we weren't impressed, won't be going back again and certainly would not recommend this place.

We arrived a party of 3 , all nearly in our 80s.We were booked in and shown to a table and left with a menu. After 30 minutes of waiting I attracted the attention of a member of staff to be told " Order on the App" ( No mention of this prior to this moment or I would have been prepared. Eventually someone came to take our order. Some 1hr 10 minutes after arriving we got our food and drink. I find this, along with the casual attitude of the staff to be totally unacceptable and shall not be returning. Food 3/5 Service 1/5 Atmosphere 2/5 Value for money 3/5

Was spot on and thoroughly enjoyed. Massive portions & worth the money spent and cheap too.. Mixed grill was good only negative the pork on it was slightly chewy but everything else was lovely. Rump steak was cooked medium rare and delicious. Very filling & deffo return. Thank you

Not visited the ragley for a while so thought we would go for Fathers day, expected it to be busy. It wasn't!! After having excellent meals there in the past it was a big let down. Food extremely average. Service mediocre won't be rushing back anytime soon unfortunately.

We haven’t been to the restaurant for over 20 years and after reading the reviews I was unsure what to expect. We had a great experience lovely food and good service. We’ll be back and it won’t be 20 years

The service was poor, waiting a very long time for anyone to take our order. We were told we could only have one menu between the four of us because they were so busy but there was only one other table where we were sat. The bar staffs language was very choice and in ear shot, we could hear all the swearing. The food very very poor, microwaved and poor quality. My elderly fathers cottage pie was the consistency of play doh. Value for money… yes you get what you pay for but definitely won’t be returning even for a cheap meal

I used to love coming to the Ragley but unfortunately think this will be the last time. Staff don’t know what they’re doing. Steaks are swimming in water?? Drinks take far too long to come even when the restaurant isn’t busy. Ask for alternative options but waitress didn’t even ask the kitchen if my alternative was there, all I got is “I dunno if we have it” All in all food is ok. Service needs looking at (as well as staff members hygiene) and tables & chairs may need updating as they’re scratched / got holes in and very uncomfortable.

The food was lovely. My dad had a mixed grill and i had a steak- all cooked perfectly. It was a shame that the plate was covered in the “juice” from the steak, meaning anytime i cut it, it was splashed everywhere. The assistant manager, a male with a beard, was extremely nice- which was amazing, and the waiters and waitresses were lovely. But, they never came to check on us and we were left alone for the whole time we were there- which wasn’t helpful when our meals came and then realised about my dad was missing his peas and i had the juice on my plate. a great location, easy to park and easy to find with maps on the phone.

We always have the £18.99 2 x 10 oz steaks incl choice of 1 bottle of house wine. Like everything else due to Covid you wait a bit longer to be served but then the food comes fairly quickly and you will not be disappointed

Firstly chef came out the kitchen with no hat on no mask or hair net! Secondly no filling in the pies just all pastry! Thirdly asked for extra bread and butter and was given 2 rock hard crusts! Would definitely not recommend anyone going! Would like money back because wouldn’t be going back within a heart beat. Thanks!

Wasn't really impressed. I've been to the Ragley boat stop lots over the years , 5 of us came for Dinner Tuesday 16th June. Meals were " ok" , " average" " nothing special ". Felt like the food was microwave & just plonked on the plate. Not alot of thought into presentation. Staff appeared scruffy in appearance. Won't be rushing back, it's lost some of its charm im afraid which is a real pity cause its in a fantastic spot.

Turned up to the boat stop at booked time to be showed to a table that had a dirty napkin underneath.we ordered drink and starter and main on app and starter came out before drinks for saying it was only lemonade and coke took a good 15 to 20 mins to come . When mains came out we asked for some bbq sauce which never appeared .so many flys in the bar couldn’t eat meal with out wafting them away . Won’t be going back there again
