Used to be good but has gone downhill. Now serves very sweet curries with glace cherries as garnish! Avoid.

Garden Of India – DarlingtonRecently visited with my girlfriend on a Tuesday night. We wanted to try Mexican, but avoid the large chains such as Chiquitos. This small, trendy restaurant was friendly and the Ford was lovely. The service was quick and efficient and although it was quiet on this occasion I imagine the place is packed on a weekend. If you're in Durham and fancy Mediterranean/Mexican cuisine definitely come here. I had spicy chicken wings and BBQ dip for starters followed my Chilli Beef enchiladas and rice, washed down with a couple of chilled bottles of Corona and we ended the night with a tequila slammer. Good night and under £20 a head.
Tia’s – DurhamVisited this fabulous restaurant whilst staying in the area. The outside perhaps doesn't give the best impression however when you enter the welcome is as warm as the Caribbean itself. Excellent food which was well presented and of very good value. Will definitely visit in the future when back in the area!
Ochis Caribbean Restaurant – DarlingtonThis is a really nice cozy pub the atmosphere really light and friendly the food exceptional and the staff brilliant thanks eddie for wonderful meals every time we will be back
Bluebell Inn – Stanleywhat can you say about mohujos, this is a little wonder hidden away in billingham.you must go and try it. the food is devine everything on the menu is fab, you want to try them all. the staff are very friendly and nothing is any trouble to them. we will continue to go there as it`s that good, i recommend everyone else books a table to try it.
Mohujos – BillinghamA pleasant atmosphere with many young waiters. They had a trainee manager the evening we attended so we cannot fully recommend this restaurant.
Bistro 21 – Durhamthis place used to be great and i was a regular 4 - 5 times a month. its very inconsistent these days but still a very nice place to eat even if the food isnt what it was. great beer tho! easily accessible on a167.
Red Lion The – Chester-le-StreetAll I can say is that if you haven't been, you need to be getting yourself a table booked. The food is lush, the drinks are fab and the service is very friendly. A well balanced menu with a very reasonable price list. Time and time again, its the place to be. Oh and the pancake is devine!
Mohujos – Billinghamextremely good landlady (Sue)and her staff are very courteous and the food is well above the normal standards and also during the winter months Sue has her log fire on and this makes it a homely effect too. Thanks SUE
Bay Horse Inn – DarlingtonExceptional meals in a comfy atmosphere. The only down side being that I could hardly move afterwards because of the vast quantities of lovely food that I had eaten. Would also recommend their quiz nights with hot buffet for an entertaining evening
Bridge Hotel – DurhamWE LOVE COMING BACK TO MOHUJOS TIME AND TIME AGAIN!!! THE FOOD IS DIVINE, THE SAN GRIA IS VERY NICE INDEED AND I RECOMMEND EVERYONE TO TRY A GLASS OR TWO!
