Unfortunately the food was not very warm. Many of the chips were cold. The beef was quite difficult to chew as it was very veined and not easily digested.

Hall Garth Hotel – DarlingtonLeaving a review for balance. There are some muppets out there trying to get freebies no doubt. The Farmers Arms did my wedding last April and we have been back every month since, the food and service are top notch and good value, the choice is fabulous, and the atmosphere is homely and welcoming. To be honest, I struggle to go anywhere else! Thanks to Colin and the team for all that they do.
The Farmers Arms – DurhamGood choice of food at reasonable prices, dishes we had were tasty. Friendly helpful staff.
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamEnjoyed the meal. The service was great too. Will definitely be back again.
The Farmers Arms – DurhamAmazing food and place Food is fresh service is brilliant and you can't beat price for quality
The Farmers Arms – DurhamThe food was excellent and the waiters and waitresses were very helpful and attentive. We had a lovely night. My only comment would be that with the low ceilings it can be quite noisey. We had elderly parents with us who struggled to hear us sometimes.
The Farmers Arms – DurhamLovely food and staff will definitely be back again
The Farmers Arms – DurhamSlow service. We had to repeatedly ask for more drinks as whilst waiting for meal. I understand at the bottom of the menu it says you take 1-2 hours as prepped fresh but unfortunately the meals we received were not made with love….3 for £10? More like £33 if you want a full meal…. We were very disappointed with this. We had a friend visiting from Bristol and bigged this Venue up as previous visits were lovely. It wasn’t just us complaining that day we say other tables. It wasn’t busy so I can’t even take that in to count….
The Farmers Arms – DurhamWe both had a 3 course meal it was a lovely meal thoughly enjoyed it food was good staff were brilliant just a nice waiting time between each course keep up the good work
The Farmers Arms – DurhamCame here for the first time on the 27/03/2024. The food and everything was absolutely amazing! Will be back without a doubt
The Farmers Arms – DurhamFood was amazing, staff were lovely, really lovely place, defo recommend and will be back
The Farmers Arms – DurhamVery enjoyable afternoon tea. Good selection of savoury & sweet options. Only criticism is that tea was rather weak. Staff very friendly & attentive.
Gilroy’s Restaurant at The Morritt – Barnard CastleWent for afternoon tea and when booked asked for no cheese but apparently this request hadn’t been passed on to the restaurant but they did offer to give me another sausage roll The Scones were lovely and warm and tasted delicious with the jam and cream Cakes were very nice as were the sandwiches Only complaint I would have is that we had to ask for a teaspoon as there wasn’t one that came with the drinks Also disappointed with the wait fir the food as drinks and jam and cream brought out within 5 minutes but had to wait 15 minutes for rest Wouldn't have minded but a party of 3 came in well after us and got their afternoon tea before us and finished well before us as well. If the place had been busy I could understand but there was only the 5 of us there including the other party of 3 Would definitely return but would hope for quicker service for food The staff were very pleasant
Gilroy’s Restaurant at The Morritt – Barnard CastleOne of the nicest afternoon teas that I have had. The staff were very attentive and friendly. A nice comfortable atmosphere. Would definitely go back again.
