Gussto Tapas Bar – DurhamFirst time I have been here and will be back
The Farmers Arms – DurhamWell what a meal tapas to die for the whipped feta with bread 10 out of 10. The meatballs superb, the host Mat fantastic cannot fault him as well as the staff. Cock tails the best I've had a must try thanks again .
Mateo’s – Castle EdenAgain not at all Disappointed excellent service excellent food great value for money!..
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamLovely food as always highly recommend can’t fault it loving new menu
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamMassage was lovely and the spa facilities are basic, but nice, with lovely views over the countryside. The robes provided were tiny though - a size 6, maybe? The staff in the spa were really nice, but the woman serving afternoon tea was a bit off, didn’t offer drinks, didn’t explain that anything other than tea or coffee had to be paid for as an extra. And the food was underwhelming. Would visit the spa again, but not bother with afternoon tea.
Hall Garth Hotel – DarlingtonVery disappointed with Sunday lunch. We both opted for the beef, this was so tough i needed i saw to cut through it. Veg was plentiful but only just warm. Yorkshire pudding looked good but again it had been kept warm for hours. We ate at 1 15pm. Staff were good just a shame the food wasn't. True British couple and didn't complain to staff as we knew they would have just zapped it in the microwave.
Witton Castle Country Park – Bishop AucklandGood freshly cooked food, friendly, attentive staff.
The Farmers Arms – DurhamMy son and daughter in law and I had Sunday lunch there on the 24th which was delicious and the staff looked after us very well
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamAs always we weren't disappointed, clean and tidy restaurant, catering really well for my wife who is gluten intolerant. Delicious food served without delay and piping hot. We had 2 courses from the main menu and 3 rounds of drinks which came to just over 60 quid, can't complain at that. If you haven't been before give it a go, definitely give the parmo a try. It is a family restaurant so expect children around if your dining at tea time
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamSunday lunch was absolutely beautiful
Witton Castle Country Park – Bishop AucklandI would love to write a glowing review, however unfortunately our experience was really disappointing. Travelling from North Wales to Newcastle we stopped here after receiving a recommendation and emailed ahead (with an acknowledgement reply saying no worries) to let the team know we were running late due to traffic on the M62. We arrived at 8:43pm, with the last booking time online showing as 9pm, yet were told the cookers had already been turned off and food could no longer be served. After such a long journey, this was incredibly frustrating and a real disappointment.
The Farmers Arms – DurhamFantastic service and a lovely meal. The portions were ample and great value for money. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamAbsolutely awesome, great food, great service, cannot fault it at all. The flavour explosions were amazing with every dish we had. Really wanted to try every dish. Overall would highly recommend Gusto to anyone.
Gussto Tapas Bar – DurhamLove this place normally but they’ve changed there chef the parmos were pink and rubbery bring back ya old chef I say he was the man and the garlic mushrooms never had no sauce like usual I don’t know why they’ve changed the menu but other than that the potato skins were okay and pints were even better
The Farmers Arms – DurhamVery good Sunday Lunch. Staff were very good too. We will be back!
