Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamWonderful tapas bar. Quite a hidden gem. Food is absolutely delicious, lots of variety. The meat and seafood tapas are especially amazing. The restaurant is small and cosy with a warm atmosphere. Great place to wind down and enjoy some good food. Staff are helpful and attentive.
Gussto Tapas Bar – DurhamGreat value and lovely food. Feels like getting good warm home cooking. Brilliant service and highly recommend.

The Farmers Arms – DurhamLovely valentines meal with my husband. The starters and main dishes were both really lovely. We got moved into the main bar area as the main restaurant was very cold but it didn’t spoil anything. The staff were and are always really lovely too.
Witton Castle Country Park – Bishop AucklandWe had a lovely stay ,Mandy was brilliant at check in , the food was amazing and we had a nice relaxed spa day . The only concern is the website is a bit confusing as it still shows a swimming pool . There needs to be clear information informing guests that the use of spa facilities is extra and they need to book a slot in advance. Apart from these minor issues , we will definitely stay at the hotel again
Hall Garth Hotel – DarlingtonFood was excellent, very tasty. Service from waitress was excellent, very welcoming. Spas was a bit disappointing, not much to do, a few pieces of equipment were not working the day we visited and the spa area felt very open, cold and lacking atmosphere. Shame, as it could have potential.
Hall Garth Hotel – DarlingtonHad Sunday lunch and it was a cracking meal, plenty on the plate and great service too. Highly recommend this place. We will definitely be going again.

Hall Garth Hotel – DarlingtonNot a good experience for my first time . Food took quite a while to arrive and the even tho that was the case out drinks didn't arrive until after the starters. We were told these would be free as they had took so long but we were still charged. Food wasn't very hot at all when it did arrive either , the wait time between courses was quite some time even tho it wasn't very busy. At no point were we asked if everything was ok or were we apologised to apart from when the drinks arrived late . Starter and main course were ok although not piping hot however dessert of crumble and custard and crumble and cream were both freezing cold . I am going we just picked a bad day to try this place because other ppl seem to really rate the place but unfortunately due to our experience we shall not be hurrying bk

The Farmers Arms – DurhamWe enjoyed our first meal on Sunday, with a family of 6. Initially, I thought the prices were expensive, however, when the food arrived we agreed it was well worth it! Adults and children agreed the food was delicious and plentiful (home made quality). Staff and service fantastic. One slight criticism.. neither the food or gravy was hot!
Witton Castle Country Park – Bishop AucklandThe meal was good but the room was Baltic!! Was a family meal for husbands birthday. Service was good and food was great but we sat absolutely frozen through. No door on dining room, In a castle in winter!!! Not good!
