Derwent Manor Hotel – DurhamOne of the nicest meals I’ve ever had. The cod was cooked perfectly, my husband’s dietary requirements were individually catered for and the staff worked ceaselessly whilst maintaining a friendly and professional environment
Derwent Manor Hotel – DurhamI can't rate this highly enough. The staff went above and beyond to make my birthday extra special, even going so far as to put balloons up and work out a way for there to be candles on my cake! The food was gorgeous, one of our party said the Scotch egg starter was the best he'd ever had. The receptionists were very helpful too, even printing out leaflets about the history of Hall Garth for us. Although we didn't pay for a private room the staff arranged for our party of 12 to have sole use of the Orangery. It was a wonderful experience, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was gorgeous, the staff were fantastic.! Can't thank you enough Hall Garth, we'll definitely be back!
Hall Garth Hotel – DarlingtonMeal was fantastic we went for the new years day 3 course for 20.00 was delicious good size portions and a good choice on the menu. Service was excellent staff. So friendly and attentative. Great surroundings love the place and would highly recommend.
The Farmers Arms – DurhamAfter eating at the dine and wine on New Years Day, My Mum and I were so impressed we decided to eat there again yesterday. Once again the food was delicious and the service was brilliant. I will be recommending this restaurant to all of my family and friends.
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamFood was amazing as always, it was a bit slower than usual but this was acknowledged and we were giving complimentary brownies with our drinks. The food was good value and myself and partner got 2 courses and a coffee and my daughter (age 8) got 2 courses and a fizzy drink for less than £50.
The Farmers Arms – DurhamBoth the food and the service was second to none. We were helped and served by Charlie, Kate and Chris and they were just so lovely, polite and helpful. They made us feel like we were the only people in the room. Also definite compliments to the Chef. Our meals were so delicious that we have booked again for today even though we were only there yesterday. My Mum has come down to visit and was very very impressed. Thank you everyone. I will definitely be recommending you to family and friends.
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamEnjoyed Sunday lunch on New Years Eve but our group of 5 were the only people in restaurant making the room a little soulless. However, staff were attentive, food was tasty and we were made to feel comfortable with no pressure on us to leave.
Hall Garth Hotel – DarlingtonThis was a gift from my 2 daughter's for my birthday. Although we had some issues getting there due to heavy traffic the staff were extremely welcoming when we rang to say we had been held up. The food was extremely good as was the service. I would recommend this venue.
Gilroy’s Restaurant at The Morritt – Barnard CastleWe ate here as part of a Groupon deal with the spa and we were so impressed! Although the menu was limited due to the nature of the deal, we both managed to find something we enjoyed. I was very impressed that vegan cheese was available so I could have a salad to start. My risotto was also very tasty. My boyfriend had the soup and the fish & chips and was also very happy with it. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and we would certainly eat here again.
Gilroy’s Restaurant at The Morritt – Barnard CastleCame for a meal on my birthday but won’t be returning. Customer service was lacking, incorrect orders brought to the table, my little girl had to wait another 10 mins for hers. No checking in to see if we needed anything. A very poor experience, seemed disorganised and couldn’t see any management around to support the younger staff
Derwent Manor Hotel – Durham100% recommend. Lovely deco with natural wood fires, food options great for adults and children. Reasonable prices and lovely location.
Derwent Manor Hotel – DurhamCelebrated my mother's 80th birthday with the family in the Antler bar. We all had the festive afternoon tea which was fantastic. The younger members of the family enjoyed the free pool table and darts. We had a great time and were well looked after. Thank you.
Derwent Manor Hotel – DurhamWe've been dinning here for a few years now and have booked Christmas Eve for the last 2 yrs. Food is beautiful, staff are very friendly and attentive and it is excellently priced for the quality of food served. Always recommending to friends and family.
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – Durham10 out 10 definitely recommend
Derwent Manor Hotel – DurhamAnother fab visit, fantastic food, great service, amazing prices cant wait to be back soon Thankyou
The Farmers Arms – DurhamWent here Tuesday night as a party of 7 with a baby, got seated very quickly, waiter came over after 20 minutes to take drink orders,,then couldn’t take our meal orders until they sorted another table first, after an hour and 15 minutes got our starter then another hour for our main, which was a turkey dinner with 1 sprout 1 roast potatoe and one parsnip and a spoonful of cabbage and turnip we didn’t even hang on for the dessert as it was very late for the baby to be out by then so paid the bill and left , definitely wouldn’t be returning again as it looks like they can’t manage the kitchen even though it wasn’t that busy .
