Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamExcellent service. Great atmosphere. Enjoyed our food.
Witton Castle Country Park – Bishop AucklandBeen in for tea on Friday afternoon, food was very nice as usual, service was even better from Amy and Abby :) LK :)
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamGreat food, lovely and cool and a great fixed £10 menu. Always end up taking our sweet home, rice pud with summer fruits and cheese board. 1/2 left for my tea today Quiet and relaxed; staff friendly, just the right amount of contact and not pushy, trying for upgrades etc. always a nice relaxed meal in familiar surroundings. Our go to after being in Durham. A really wide range of starters, mains and sweets. And poor WiFi is a BONUS. People talk, laugh and enjoy each others company. Well well done on all fronts
The Farmers Arms – DurhamLovely little place and food is always so nice. The service is always great and staff are friendly and helpful nothing seems to be a problem. We will definitely be back and would recommend to friends and family
Gussto Tapas Bar – DurhamThe castle is beautiful whether you pop in for a drink in the bar or food in the restaurant it's worth a visit Staff are great the service we received was excellent can't fault it at all. The food we lovely portion size are generous, delicious and value for money we will be back Chunky chips much better option than fries :)
Witton Castle Country Park – Bishop AucklandFantastic food and really lovely friendly staff! Lovely pub too!
The Farmers Arms – DurhamWent for afternoon tea with 3 of my friends on Sat, early 60th birthday celebration for 2 of us. Tea & coffee was cold, had to ask for hot water….only 2 types of sandwiches, which were a little dry….had to ask for butter for our miniature scones….chocolate cake was dry & not sure what the other cake was as we weren’t told. We were never approached to ask if we wanted another drink. Staff seemed very unhappy & stressed!! Not the best.
The George of Piercebridge – DarlingtonHere's my review 2nd visit Sunday Lunch 13th July Super staff Gravy - Ace Puddings - Excellent Veg - Lovely Mash - Gorgeous Roasties - Fair Beef - no way was that a slow roasted joint, was as tough as old boots, Pork was not much better, no crackling! Drinks - quite expensive
Hall Garth Hotel – DarlingtonGuys just been to visit our Daughter in Blackhall, have lunch today, we visit 6 times a year and always have Sunday Lunch with you. I start to think about what I am going to have a week before we go STUNNING FOOD, STUNNING SERVICE Wish we lived nearer 10/10 Anthony
The Farmers Arms – DurhamWe went for happy hour. Food was decent but staff were run off their feet and food just took far too long to be served through any course. Our sweet did not arrive and we ended having to leave. This happened with other diners around us and also made for a poor, stressful atmosphere. Very disappointing.

Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamWe always enjoy our meal here the food is excellent as are the staff. We are always welcomed as if old friends we love going to the farmers arms xx we are a family of 7 and no one has ever complained about the food I love the chips as they are cooked to my liking brown not pasty white well done chef.
The Farmers Arms – DurhamReally disappointed with last nights visit, having had some nice meals there previously. Positives - fish and chips were nice, and the duck spring rolls tasty. Negatives - Chicken was very dry, Parmos awful with no bechamel sauce, half of the chips were black, no sauces. Half of the table were finished their starters before the other half got theirs. Waited 30 mins for a drink. Toilets need some tlc including either paper hand towels or a working hand dryer. I usually like the quirky-ness of the place, however it was so dark last night, we couldn’t read the menu or barely see each other! The lady on the till was lovely and did take off all of the ‘extra supplements’ (£3 for chips, extra £4 for most of the meals so never works out as cheap as the 3 course for £10, more like £20pp but I expected it). Hope it was just a blip but it has put us off
