We booked for a meal Saturday evening. When we arrived because of the lovely weather outside was very busy with music blaring. We were shown to our table where music could be heard vaguely in the back ground. Menu was very varied and looked good value for excellent and some different variations of food on Menu plus a Specials one for the day. We were two Pensioners with good appetites but by the time we had eaten our starters were quite full. Goats cheese was delicious. Out mains came Steak Pie with fresh veg and chips and smoked haddock pie with cheesy mash and fresh veg. It was piping hot. My friend could only manage half her meal as it was a whole pie in a dish. She really enjoyed what she ate of it. The fish pie was very tasty it's something I wouldn't always choose but would certainly order it again. We didn't even look at a dessert menu so can't comment. Service was excellent. Would we return definitely a great find close to home as it had recently changed hands.. I would thoroughly recommend it.

Been to the Buraq many times. Fabulous food, service and atmosphere. I don’t know of any other Indian restaurant where a jug of water is already on your table without even asking. Poppadoms and a chutney tray also provided free of charge. Highly recommended.

Been twice, both times friendly staff, good food and reasonable prices. Food was well presented, hot and came quite quickly. It was a good experience both times. The burgers were nice, tasty and quite large. The salmon was fresh and tasty. Place was clean and well kept. Decor is of a pub with food so no complainats from me. Parking is free despite signs in car park to the contrary (just ask at bar for confirmation). Would recommend and will go again.

Lovely atmosphere, very attentive staff. The menu had a great choice of food. I had the open prawn sandwhich, it was ok but unfortunately the salad was limp and little of it, and the chips were very salty. I would return as I have had much better food on previous visits.

Used station pub many times was always excellent, however the last two visits have not been good,the staff are still very good and the beers are also good. We visited the pub 10 5 24 .I had gammon it was disgusting full of fat my grilled tomato tasted fishy. My wife had scampi it was average. The drinks were expensive. To be fair we were offered a free sweet we didn't want any more food and we were offered a round of drinks again we didn't want any more, so we were offered drinks next time we were in there won't be a next time. We had two drinks each and two main meals £47.00 ,we could have had the same meal at the railway j d wetherspoons for 30% less Nice pub nice staff good drinking pub.

Me and my boyfriend visited on the 9th may. We can both say obviously amazing from food to atmosphere to service, I ordered salt and pepper Halloumi with avocado and poached egg I even add bacon and a sausage. 10/10 full of flavour. My boyfriend had ultimate breakfast ciabatta. 10/10 . You get so much for your money. My smoothie and his orange juice were made fresh to order. We did wait 25 mins for food which seems long but everything made fresh to order. 100% going back !!

I booked the afternoon tea as a surprise for my mother’s 85th Birthday we attended with friends. The service upon arriving was excellent and the waiter was very attentive and extremely pleasant. The afternoon tea served on a cake stand was scrumptious and the table was set out beautifully. The ambiance was wonderful and my mother said she had an amazing time. I would definitely recommend the afternoon tea 5* from me.

Met old friends for breakfast. Great menu, all the food cooked perfectly. Coffee very good. Service excellent and all for a reasonable price. Will definitely be back.

The food was the excellent the service was top notch and the place full of character with a loving view of the sea front and the option to eat outside when the sun out just nice and relaxing place to eat will be coming back and try there lunchtime meal 5/5 I say

Place is dreary and bland, like an old pub was cold in there also. Waited an hour for food, half of it was cold sent it back for them just to take 1 part of the meal and the other still sat infront of me.. "smokehouse " that's an insult to genuine smokehouses. Leave it to the proper establishments. All in wouldn't return an hour for cold food woth 3 sets of families in. Joke of a place. Outdated and cold. Waitresses need training properly ( don't believe it's there fault) management need to do better.

Had a fabulous evening. The food and service was amazing, I couldn’t fault it. Danny and Josh couldn’t do enough for us. Can’t wait to go again

We were given an Afternoon Tea experience as a gift and, overall, we did enjoy it, however, the service seemed to be rather slow although the tea room wasn’t full and the servers were not terribly communicative, other than to offer more drinks or for permission to clear away empty plates. There was also a strange incident around the scones which were promised for the middle layer of the cake stand but it was explained that they were still in the oven and would be delivered warm. This was at about ten past one but it was almost two o’clock when we finally got ours so we felt a little rushed towards the end. There were only six tables to be served but the scones were brought in two at a time and at irregular intervals to each table. Having said that, everything was elegantly presented and the sandwiches were fresh with a nice variety of fillings. The top tier featured the cakes/desserts and those were also very nice, combining fresh fruit with a range of creamy toppings. We had a copious supply of Earl Grey tea which rounded off the whole experience
