The Zen Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaJUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER AND BETTER. FANTASTIC FOOD FANTASTIC ALE AND FANTASTIC STAFF. ENOUGH SAID
White Bull Hotel – Great EcclestonWent for a birthday meal here recently, not been for ages. There was good choice on the menu, I went for the Gammon which was fine, and the pineapple was nicely charred. The steaks looked nice, as did the mixed grill. My niece had a burger which looked good, and they served the big chips in some kind of loaf tin. The pudding was a little disappointing, raspberry cheesecake, as it was a little over fruity for me, but the others looked good. I'd say Castle Gardens is good for a lazy lunch, but not one to recommend for a special occasion.
Castle Gardens – Poulton-Le-FyldeHad a smashing lunch here on Saturday. Chicken and bacon pie for me and my husband had a fish platter. Excellent food and friendly service. Would like to have a look at the menu before going to the cafe. Why is there not more information on here?
Artisan @ Booths – Lythami come here again and again......absolutely charming.....staff are lovely and polite ...atmosphere warm, friendly and charming. Food delicious and well priced....each experience has been warm and inviting. I never visit St. Anne's and miss going into Antons.......absolutely love it! the decor is charming....
Antons – St. Annes-On-SeaYesterday a group of friends and myself visited the oyster festival and what a great day all be it for a late lunch in the pub. We started off in the oyster tent which was great, the oysters went down a treat. The kids were all having a great time. Unfortunately when it came to the pub the food was mediocre although my courses were tasty, the clam chowder and the chicken roulade which was more of a breast than a roulade was very tasty. My friends had the roast beef dinner. When it arrived the beef was all fat and very chewy. The manager was excellent and after he went to talk with the chef he informed us that all the topside had gone and that they were now using the striploin which isn't usually that fatty and tough. we didn't leave disappointed as the manager did a great job. This place was buzzing and a great day was had by all.

China Red – Poulton-Le-FyldeWas in Blackpool for the August Bank Holiday. Not one to miss a Sunday Lunch visited JKs Steakhouse on spec and was not disappointed. We had a delicious chicken Sunday roast, dinner with all the trimmings which was excellent value and the carrots were fresh - always a good sign ! The owner & staff made us feel very welcome. We often visit Blackpool so will most certainly be going to have our dinner at JK's again. I liked the Welsh lady ! Yak y dar !
JK’s Steakhouse – BlackpoolGreat Place, Great Food
West Coast Rock Cafe – BlackpoolAWFUL AWFUL AWFUL had surf n turf- menu description was FILLET AND PRAWNS in a cream sauce, what we got was a plate of soggy chippy style chips and some small slithers of grey chewy tough pieces of beef?? and prawns the sauce was like water IT WAS JUST DISGUSTING AND A DISGRACE, the waitress said it was always like that??? WHAT?? we got NO apology or anything, they could not care less, we just paid up and left.... WE WILL NEVER GO THERE EVER AGAIN!! I WOULD NOT GIVE THAT TO AN ANIMAL.....
Nice food but forgot to put my daughters pilau rice in the takeaway bag, when i rang to tell them they denied that i had ordered it, i watched him write it down and why would i order a korma without rice? then he said could i come and get it... no cos it takes me too long to get there. i told them it didn't matter i wasn't gonna keep trying, so i made her boil in the bag rice, spoiled the meal for us!!!
Sunam Tandoori – BisphamI live in St Annes, had a take away last week best chips I've had for along time, going to try the Restaurant today.
The Haven Fish Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaI live locally and don't use any other chip shop as this is the best. I even get friends to use it now . Best fish and chips.in area
Dawsons – KirkhamAte with a friend at Henrys on Tuesday evening after hearing good things about the place. I went with the specials which was a Crab Croquette starter that was ok. The main was Gnocchi with Butternut Squash and was so sickly it was inedible. My friend had the pie which was average. The wine we picked was switched for something else and wasn't the best in the world. Shame as the staff were excellent.
Henry’s – LythamSuper experience. Nice ambience, ordered from the specials menu and the food was delicious. Service was spot on, both from the bar staff and the table waiters. Looking forward to next time.
The Sparling Barton – GarstangI recently went to vesuvio, and though you cannot fault the cleanliness and hospitality my pasta dish was terrible. I had pasta with garlic and prawns, it was totally inedible. The owner asked why I didn't like it so I told him the taste was lacking everything! the sauce had no 'punch' so he went on to say about sauces, veggies and meat.. load of nonsense. The 'prawns' could not be found for ages and then when I did find one it was obviously a frozen one, I would have said more like tiny shrimp! And he didn't take the criticism well..although the garlic bread and my companions Lasagne was delightful..I would possibly revisit and try a different dish.
Vesuvio – BlackpoolRare of me to eat fish and chips at lunchtime however I was Hank Marvin. Thought I would grab a takeaway but was pleased to see Taylors now have a restaurant too. Very pleasant space with magazines to read etc. Fish and chips was spot on. Only complaint was a dirty plastic glass for my drink, so I just drank out of the can.
Taylors Fish And Chips – BlackpoolManastey , I have been to the restaurant lot of times and enjoy everything about it, the food and friendly service is exceptional and to those who haven't tried it you're missing out on a great experience as well as great food. It is very cosy and comfortable the interior is nice with authentic Gurkha land stuff.. I recommend trying a small to medium sized plate from the starter part, especially the chicken satay. I tried the mild gurkha curry and the hot one. The spicy potato Aloo Dum thing they do as well is really tasty. All in all this is great value for money, only a tenner so you can't find better value for miles. I highly recommend this place for informal birthdays and a mid week fill. The owner is a gurkha as well so don't mess! The Fine Diner Thanx Bimla for making our dining a fine experience
