I went to the great fortune house after looking at the customer reviews, The food was nice however the atmosphere was awful. The building is a total mess and basically needs a total refurbish, the chairs where ripped and the lights where flickering. Not that impressed.

My partner and I made our first visit to Salt of the Earth today. The deli/bistro has a continental rustic feel to it. Mishmash decor and furniture add to its warm and welcoming atmosphere. The menu was varied and included a good amount of home produced fayre. We decided to opt for the lunchtime special menu consisting of home made chorizo & lentil soup followed by crayfish & avocado sandwiches. Our meal was of very good quality and the restaurant is absolutely worth a return visit.

Been a while since I last visited, but i can't think why! Food and service is still brilliant, and i heartily recommend to everyone!

Me and my wife visited Henry's last Thursday night for our anniversary and I've got to say, what a night! Firstly the place was packed which was great to see, my friends had recommended us and it certainly didn't disappoint, the food was second to none, the steak i had was the best I'd had in a long time and the seafood casserole my wife chose was fantastic also. The staff were great, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive, Couldn't have asked for more! Booked in again for bank holiday Friday and they were already nearly fully booked! Great restaurant and cant wait to return!

Friendly staff in a well run setup.Its great to watch your food being cooked.The food tastes great and the prices are very competitive I 'd recommend it to anyone

just to let people know if u have highlife book first even thou it doesn't say in the book we have one and were refused on a Monday night that was very quiet. the funny thing was the owners had been in our restaurant with highlife, not booked and did we refuse NO WE DID NOT

I found the food to be excellent, having made several visits to the pub I have sampled various items from the reasonably priced menu, I found the portions of the plated meals to be generous, the toasties are the cheapest that I have found anywhere, the quality was excellent, the ploughmans lunch was superb, as was the all day breakfast and a few other dishes that i have sampled. the ham salad was a very generous portion, well presented and easily worth more than the price that i paid. I also sampled the cheeseburger and was pleased that it came with grated cheese and not the customary cheese slices that most other places serve. I also tried the double cheeseburger and was amazed by the size of it, plus it came with a free salad garnish. the bloomfield will be my destination whenever i eat out

I went here for dinner last night & as always had a gorgeous meal the food was just perfect. For my starter I had the venison and pistachio terrine which was served cold on a bed of sweet red cabbage, alongside toasted brioche, Superb. For my main course I had the Beef Gallet with creamed potato, carrot & swede puree & baby leeks. & for dessert I had the warm chocolate & nut brownie served with vanilla ice cream. I recently ate at Gordon Ramsays in London & have to say the meal I had last night at twelve was better. I just cant fault this restaurant everything is always excellent everytime i go. Thank You I will be returning in the near future

As a party of four we dined at the Shard Riverside last weekend (May 2010) and were pleasantly surprised at the friendly atmosphere, excellent service (the staff could not be more helpful) and the quality of the food served. We all had a different main meal from the wide ranging menu and no one was disappointed. Therefore the Shard comes highly recommended.

excellent dining experience fantastic value for money, my wife and i really recommend this welcoming restaurant, we wont eat anywhere else in this area. very nice staff and good portions for big eaters, i love the mixed grill, 5 star from us :) keep up the good work.

Being a local to the area, I have eaten at this Indian restaurant many times, and it is far one of the best, if not THE BEST in the area/fylde coast. I would not hesitate in recommending the establishment to anyone who has a requirement for excellent food, a large choice of varied strength curries and it has a perfect ambience & general modern decor. The service is excellent and the prices are reasonable. Having read other reviews commenting on the table water not being tap water... If you want tap water, order a take away and eat at home! This is a top class restaurant in all aspects and I would be disgusted if I asked for table water and got tap water. I have never experienced any mistakes or poor quality food, and have always been seated & served in a timely manner. I would rate this indian restaurant 9.5/10... the only draw back being the car park is far too small!

Excellent food, service and restaurant.

Went there last night what a great place! The food was fantastic, freshly cooked, not too long to wait and delicious. Definitely best Italian I've had in Lytham/St Annes. My young son had a child's pizza and said it was so tasty could he have another! both were polished off! Simple Italian food at its best.

The food here was fantastic great value and very tasty, The food was freshly prepared and i did not have to wait a long to be served.the staff was very friendly and polite which is always good. I had the 3 course meal for £13 well worth it I will be returning here many times ... thank you jk's
