Paramount Chinese Restaurant – Blackpoolthe fish and chips were great, portion size good, service average, would come again but probably take out.
The Cottage – Blackpoolwow it was really excellent.....ten years ago, in truth Expensive, waste of time, and also extremely unclean in, I found my plate to be unclean, the table being wiped with wet wipes, not one person in the kitchen had hats, but alot had long hair, and it was just a mess do I demanded a refund, it really has lost its former glory, and seems to be just playing on its name, also a friend in the industry tells me tha the pies, sausages, fish, all arrive frozen, might as well go to a chain pub, in 88 vans like they use at hungry horse pubs and the gravy and curry are powdered absolutely awful.
The Cottage – BlackpoolWe have a caravan nearby and love this little cafe. We cant tell which is best, the food or the service but both are superb, Avis the lady who owns and runs the shop is kindness itself, my husband enjoyed the big fresh cream eclair she gave him free of charge , because no one else would have a pudding with him, last time we were in. Try it its the best.
The Coffee Pot – GarstangMe and my husband have eaten at the golden eagle a few times while staying in fleetwood, and each time the food has been excellent, good value for money, also the service and the staff are always good even at busy times.
Golden Eagle, The – Thornton-CleveleysThe rice was either old or over cooked. Was mushy. Next time I'm going elsewhere, really shitty! This was this week... I think on Monday or Tuesday. REALLY bad! Meat was tough too. Is it really so hard to make something edible?
Alis Takeaway – BlackpoolI would like to make a complaint against Adrian the General Manager of this venue. My Daughter has mental heath issues. Adrian was verbally abusive to her when she went for a meal on Sunday 14th Nov. He pointed in her face which upset her and through her out of the venue. We have as a family been going in the Queensway every Sunday and been very happy with the service we have had. My daughter and her friend left all their meals and was charge for a sweet they never received. Could you please send me some correspondence on this issue as I will take this further and go to my local paper. I deal with ignorant people like this every Day as I work with Learning Disabilities and I am I manager myself. I feel that Adrians Management skills should be questioned. Thank you for your time. I will await correspondence from you. I have spoken to Adrian about this matter and he was also very arrogant and aggressive to me on the phone. He also put the phone down on me.
Fort San Antone was a great night out but the place is in need of some TLC. The tiles are falling off the walls in the toilets and the roof leaks when it rains. For anyone thinking of staying in the motel, I would advise against it unless you are prepared to really rough it. The first impression of our room was that it stank of creosote or some other sort of wood preserver. The floor was so spongy that you thought you may go through it in places. It contained an assortment of furniture that looked as if it had been picked up at a yard sale. The room had obviously not been properly cleaned for some time and when I came to put my clothes in one of the drawers, it was full of mouse droppings. Not for the delicate or faint-hearted!
Fort San Antone – FreckletonMy wife, son and I visited Zen for the second time last night, and the experience was just as good as the first. There had initially been some scepticism of a restaurant that offered two cuisines, but as my son usually prefers Chinese food, we had given it a go, and had not been disappointed. Last night we all chose from the Thai menu, and were very happy with the meal. The restaurant itself makes the most of the premises, and carefully divides the available space to provide just enough privacy to avoid the sensation of dining with strangers. The décor takes the Zen concept through, and creates a relaxing environment, where the staff are courteous without being intrusive. We ate dishes based on scallops, duck and prawns, delicately prepared to deliver the sweetness with heat that makes Thai cuisine irresistible to me. We left happy, and I hope the restaurant stays for many years to come!
The Zen Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaWhat an absolute gem! I took my girlfriend here on Saturday night for her birthday and am happy to say it was an excellent choice. The restaurant itself is beautiful and stylish with metallic artwork, fantastic decor and a baby grand piano (I believe they have a pianist on Sundays which I hope to experience). We were greeted and seated at the bar on arrival and had the pleasant surprise of a small plate of canapés brought to us (complimentary). This consisted of small crunchy seafood bon bons, huge green olives and a smooth seafood mousse for dipping, delightful. The actual meal was outstanding. I had the ham hock terrine to start which came with smoked garlic puree and a warm egg yolk served on a slate. This was exceptional, the flavours married together brilliantly and the presentation was first rate. For Mains I had the selection of fish and my partner had roast sirloin of beef. Both were excellent although I was certainly more impressed with my starter. The Dessert, for me, was the 'Pièce de résistance'. I was very close to ordering 'Chocolate three ways', but thought I would be a little more adventurous and try the 'Banana Bavarois with Peanut Butter Ice Cream'.... Nice? It was an absolute delight to eat; there were four textures on the plate which alone were just nice but when all four were applied to the same mouthful it was an absolute dream to devour. Such a shame that at this point I was so full of modern British goodness I couldn't find room to try the cheeses. Which, by the way, have their own trolley! I think they have about 20 cheeses to choose from and Bevan, the manager can talk you through the cheeses at the table (we witnessed the ladies on the next table getting the cheese tour). To get all this in classy surroundings should have cost the two of us £100 for the food alone, it was only £35! I am not just recommending this restaurant; I am telling you to go!
The Tapas Bar and Restaurant – Kirkhamthis is one of the best steak meals i have ever had ,we were in Blackpool for a weekend in November and went jk s on the fri for evening meal and returned on sun for Sunday roast the food is 1st class the steak puddings are delicious my eyes nearly popped out my head when the waitress brought my steak pudding out it was MASSIVE with loads of lovely meat that melts in the mouth .excellent value for money we live about 45 miles from Blackpool but will be going back soon
JK’s Steakhouse – BlackpoolThe best restaurant in lytham by far, I went on a Saturday night and had a wonderful evening. The food was delicious, the service was friendly what more can you want. I'm definitely going back there again.
Novello – Lythamthe food is at the best standers at bispham kitchen . its delicious i couldn't describe one word saying its horrible . its the best pace i have ever been with my family and friends for lunch . thankyou
Bispham Kitchen – BisphamMy wife and I tried Michael's Indian restaurant last night for the first time, and can honestly say we were both blown away with the flavour of there Chicken Salone, coupled together with there Mushroom Fried Rice. We both enjoy hot spicy food, but finding the balance between heat and flavour is key with this type of dish, as often the wonderful flavour of the different spices used whilst being cooked is overpowered, and in some cases even lost to the heat of the dish. The balance of heat and flavour were both absolutely perfect as we could taste the many different spices all working in harmony together, whilst still being a hot dish.
Michaels Indian Restaurant – Thornton-CleveleysTwo of us dined at Sapori last night before going to the Opera. It was our first visit and we would certainly go back again and highly recommend it. The food was very tasty and nicely presented. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and the service was excellent. All this at an amazing price of £8.95 for 2 courses.
Sapori – BlackpoolBest looking Chinese/Thai restaurant on the Fylde Coast. Has a welcoming atmosphere too. We had the 3 course Thai Dinner and were impressed. The staff were very friendly and professional too.
The Zen Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaTonight was my first night at Margherita and the lasagna I had was the best I ever eaten! I will definitely telling my friends and family about it!
Margherita – St. Annes-On-SeaMy husband and I took the family about a month ago for a celebration meal and loved it so much I suggested we go for our next girls night out (once a month 9 friends try a different local restaurant, we have been doing this for well over 10 years). We went yesterday evening and what a hit it was with everyone. A nice area to have a drink before we ate, relaxed atmosphere, a big round table which seated all 9 of us, beautiful decor (plum and white, crisp white table cloths ,plum upholstery, beautiful chandeliers), excellent service (not in your face), great choices on the menu, fabulous food (we all thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered) housewine was one of the best we have sampled in all the years, very reasonable prices for food and drinks, we loved this restaurant so much we have booked again for our Christmas do, we have NEVER done this before. Everyone agreed it was an exceptional restaurant, best Italian in Blackpool, and believe me we have tried them all!
