La Fontana – BlackpoolA rarely seen beach cafe that ticks all the boxes. Great food, reasonably priced with efficient and friendly service. Its fully licenced with a good selection of wine and beer and importantly, the dining areas and toilets are always clean, even on the busiest of days.
Beach Terrace – St. Annes-On-SeaHaving been asked to organise a party for a friend's 30th for 20 people I was a bit worried. However, a friend from work recommended G Casino to me and what a brilliant choice we made. It's not just that the food was good(it's gorgeous and sooo cheap for the type of food) but the whole night was excellent. The restaurant itself is dead posh and you can look over the whole casino from it. They have a Party organiser who was brilliant - she was really helpful. I had smoked haddock florentine which was absolutely gorgeous followed by seabass which was the best I've ever tasted. My boyfriend had a half pound burger! cos he always picks something like that! But that's the point really - the menu is very varied - there's something for everyone. There was live entertainment on later - a guy who was on Britain's Got Talent last year, he was hilarious. I ended up winning £20 on roulette too. It's very good for parties because it keeps everyone together in one place. i was really surprised how big it is inside. very modern & comfy bar area. I will be in there again this weekend to try a bar meal - couldn't get in the restaurant this saturday as it's already full! One thing to remember you have to bring your passport or a driving licence with a photo on it to get in. Really really good.
Grosvenor Casino Blackpool – BlackpoolHEADS WILL ROLL!! After a friend recommended this place, I was curious and naturally wanted to try them out. I was not disappointed in the least! Great value for money, gorgeous food - and the service was second to non- top marks!
San Marcos – BlackpoolI have visited the Paramount since the 1970s when it opened, and as one of the first restaurants of the now cuisine-flooded Highfield Road, it can't be denied that it set the benchmark. The original and the best, it is paramount that this restaurant is held in high regard! Well played Alan!
Paramount Chinese Restaurant – BlackpoolThrough out my life, i have enjoy many different cuisines of the world. And shortly after moving from the u.s.a to Blackpool, i found my self sampling the local restaurants, when i stumbled across san marcos. i was instantly impressed by the beautiful and atmostpheric interior of the restaurant. I was greeted by a waiter called Richie who was flamboyant to say the least. I was then taken to my table and had the best garlic toast i have ever had. I mean they say garlic bread is the future and i know because ive tasted it. And as for the lasagna it was heroic to say the least, it was ultimately out of this world, its easy to see that alot of love and passion had gone into making it. it really was a break through in lasagna making. And my overall experience of san marcos can be summed up in one word... "awesome"
San Marcos – BlackpoolThanks to Jack outside for the great service and food provided for my recent party. A last minute party and keith was very accommodating to deal with. No problem recommending, if you like me can't be bothered to cooking yourself. June 2009
Jack’s Restaurant & Bar – St. Annes-On-SeaHaving just returned from another fabulous night at San Marcos, I felt compelled to log on and let the whole interweb know that this is by far Blackpool's best restaurant! The menu is vast and impressive (I was fortunate enough to sample the much acclaimed mushrooms for starter and the devine salmon for main course), whilst the atmosphere is akin to a Mediterranean haven. The fast paced music reflects the upbeat vibe, whilst the service is second to none. An energetic young Maltese waiter named Ritchie was kind enough to stop and chat for ten whole minutes; we were in our element! As a regular, you notice that each and every member of staff has their own unique personality, which makes it even more special as you get to know them. William Shakespeare once said "If music be the food of love, play on". Well all I can say is this: If food be the music of San Marcos, then save some room on the dancefloor for me.
San Marcos – BlackpoolFound this restaurant by accident and it was a 'real' find....good food, good service and a lovely 'ambiance' Thankyou
Tiggy Winkles Of Bond Street – BlackpoolAlways feel welcomed. Great service, great food.
Woo Sang Chinese Takeaway – Blackpoollived in Blackpool all our lives and only just stumbled across this place. Only ordered twice but have to say this is the best Indian we have EVER had! Excellent food, great tasting and speedy delivery. shall definitely be using again, in fact so impressed with this place will not use anywhere but here!! highly recommend to anyone and shall certainly be telling friends!
Fayez Tandoori – Thornton-CleveleysAll i can say is they offer fantastic food. The taste is spot on. Big size portion, even one meal would be enough for two people. Highly recommend. Blackpool's number one. Great service, staff are very friendly and actually speak GOOD English which is an advantage to customers. MUST TRY
Woo Sang Chinese Takeaway – BlackpoolWent for dinner on Friday evening with my mum. Couldn't fault at all. The restaurant has been updated and refurbed. my mum received a complimentary cup of tea whilst waiting for me to arrive. The waitress, a lovely lady was very knowledgeable, pushing the specials and helping us choose. I had the hake and chips with mushy peas. My mum had the cod and chips. Both fish was uber fresh, flaky and cooked to perfection.
The Cottage – BlackpoolRecently visited this pub/restaurant for the carvery and was happy to find it was excellent, better than any i've tried before but was delighted to find out that from the 1st July the carvery will be on 7 days a week at the same great value price of £4.25 with the inclusion of a large salad bar and other extras making it a new concept in the carvery market, something original and new and not the traditional carvery. I recommend visiting soon to try this new concept in dinning. FANTASTIC.
Tavern at the Mill – Thornton-CleveleysThe food we ordered was completely different to what we received,it was also crafted with such cheap ingredients that the pizza we ordered tasted like tinned tomato soup with what some might call cheese, we also order a mixed kebab but received a small chicken kebab. Not good at all
Ali’s Fast Food – Blackpoolwhat a lovely experience dining today at taste restaurant in cleveleys. as a resident this was one eatery that i had never tried, how pleased i am now i have. the food and service was wonderful and the prices compare favourably. i shall certainly take friends and family knowing they will not be disappointed.
