Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe ate for the first time on Saturday 1st February while visiting Grasmere for a long weekend. We had a wonderful meal, the atmosphere was lovely, the staff were very friendly and attentive. I would recommend you book a table and I would most definitely recommend it to my family and friends. When we visit the Lake District again we will definitely be returning. Thank you to all of the staff for your hospitality you gave us a wonderful evening.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereFantastic food. Delicious flavours and great presentation. We had the Ostrich steaks in plum sauce which was a real treat. Friendly staff too.
Goody Blake’s – GrasmereWe ate here for the first time last week, and the food was amazing and well priced for the decent portion sizes. We had the Seabass and Chicken which were both delicious. The staff were friendly and efficient too. Unfortunately they had completely run out of their famous cheesecake due to closing the next day for the winter, but that just means we'll have to return!
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereBooked a table for 6 on Saturday 30/11/24 we was the only ones there. I was quite shocked because the food was the best in the village and so was the service a little gem of a place.Already booked for New Year’s Eve.John
Goody Blake’s – GrasmereWe love Lewis's and keep coming back. Always have great food, in a lovely atmosphere. Well priced. Wine selection is good, and well priced too. Our last visit was for a girls catch up. We had a lovely evening thank you. Enjoy your well deserved holiday.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe went to Lewis’s for my husband’s birthday treat. We had never been before. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal . I had the stuffed chicken breast and my husband had the lamb. Both delicious. The service was friendly and efficient. Our only criticism - only an observation- was that the layout was a bit formal- a few plants and pictures would add more ambiance. Will definitely go back though.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereLovely evening from start to finish. Wonderful food, I had lamb which was just to die for and my wife had the fillet steak which was superb, and the dauphinoise potatoes were simply the best. Lovely ambience and service, very impressed and would highly recommend 10/10.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereBeautiful little restaurant. Great wine list, lovely menu, informal but special atmosphere.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereBeen coming to Grasmere for around 6 years now but this was our first experience at dining at Lewis's Bistro. What an amazing gem we found. The Bistro itself looks beautiful and well set up and we just knew we were going to have a great night. The food was simply amazing. A medium rare steak for main and a lemon posset for desert always capture my eye while dining out but the highlight was the Black Pudding stack for starters. That packs a punch. My wife's Lamb Rack was her highlight but literally the whole night was a delight. Being in the catering business ourselves, we know that attention to detail and great customer service is second to none and I must say, all boxes are ticked here. Great chatting with you Lewis. Definitely returning and a place to cherish. Lee & Lisa
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereOur 6th or 7th visit to this lovely bistro in Grasmere, and once again it did not disappoint. A warm welcome on arrival, the staff remembered us from our last visit a year ago! The restaurant had a lovely comfortable atmosphere. The food was delicious. I had the starter of Hummus & pita , my husband had the olives & bread, both dishes were plentiful. For the main meal, my husband had the lamb rack with various veg ...he thoroughly enjoyed the lamb, perfectly cooked! I had the chicken dish which was very good. Ice cream to round off a very enjoyable evening.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereGreat atmosphere - lovely food and service excellent
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereMe and my husband were in Grasmere this weekend celebrating and wanted to dine somewhere special. We are so delighted with our choice and already can't wait to go back to try something different. My husband is vegan and he said their food was outstanding. Please don't hesitate to book or visit this place.
Lewis’s Bistro – Grasmeregreat atmosphere food was great had the onion soup it was served at the right temperature the garlic bread was freshly cooked and moist. The mains - belly pork and stuffed chicken was cooked to perfection with additional veg and finished with cheesecake and lemon posset staff were very friendly even the chef popped to say hello which was a nice touch
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe were the first to arrive on a cold night , the welcome was very warm . The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Anyone visiting Grasmere should make a point of eating here
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereLovely evening at the bistro. I have a restricted diet and the staff worked with me to accommodate. Food was very good quality and decent portions. Large sea bass for my wife which was well prepared. Good atmosphere and we left well fed and relaxed. Easily recommend
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereVisited last night. Staff lovely especially the blond lady. Sadly even though I booked a week before we were sat right in front of the door getting really cold when people were in and out. Nice atmosphere. The chicken was lovely but sadly the fillet steak wasn’t fillet and was really bland. The soup was not very appealing and the prawns were tiny little things. The sticky toffee pudding was amazing. Little bit overpriced but not much competition for them in Grasmere.
