Great selection of food at a very reasonable price. Got our weekend off to a fabulous start!

Went for Birthday meal with family of 8 food was lovely and plenty of it As was not busy we stayed longer than 1.5 hour which was nice . Waiters a bit too quick to take plates as twice they took my husbands plate without him finishing when only went to bar !! Downside a glass of small wine £5 and other drinks expensive but will come again and avoid bar

The pub was recommended to us and we were not disappointed great food staff very friendly we will definitely be back again.

So enjoyed a meal celebrating a friends birthday yesterday. Such a lovely pub. Tables spaced well so you didn’t need to hear everyone else’s conversations. The food was perfect, the service was both perfect and charming. Didn’t feel rushed but food was served in a timely fashion. Will be going again very soon.

We were scoping out this pub for a possible birthday meal in Sept. The website looks great, but stop there! Parking was impossible as they had a private event on. We chose to sit inside, there was no atmosphere, the tables were sticky, the menus were dirty, the chairs uncomfortable. The waiter, dropped the cutlery on my husbands food knocking some of it off the plate, to no apology. The food was not great, salad was over seasoned, burger meal was dry and over cooked. The whitebait was greasy. Cost £144 for a meal for four people. Overpriced for what it was, and we won’t be back.

Great service, lovely location and fabulous food. Staff were very friendly and flexible. We’d booked table inside but had drinks before and after food in the lovely garden. Good menu choices for us, and food was tasty. Thank you, we will be back again.

Lovely lunch with our friends at the Chequers. Good value too. Will be back and highly recommended!

Visited yesterday Saturday. 8 of us for my grandsons birthday. My son had money already saved for us but when we arrived it had gone up by £2 each. 2 of my grandaons are tall so usually have to pay all adult prices except for 1 but child prices had gone up as well. Drink are now £3.50 each for refills so it really worked out a expensive meal. Food is always nice and lots of choice as grand kids are fussy but at £22 per head it is being overpriced . Cost for 8 people £189.50 Including soft drinks. Don't think we can afford to eat here again for a long while. Its a nice treat but an expensive one.

Second time visiting spoon Portsmouth (Friday evening around 5:30) and we can’t fault it, we’re already planning our next visit. •The staff are absolutely wonderful. Very welcoming and friendly. •Very large selection of different foods- from kids nuggets, chips and cocktail sausages, to Indian curries, Italian pastas and pizza, noodles, veggies, potatoes and meats, plus a sushi bar and fresh fry grill. So much choice, and I’m a vegetarian! •Food doesn’t stop there! Leave room for the desert corner- cakes, ice creams, profiteroles, Eton mess, banana and custard, choc fountain, fresh fruit, and more! •food has always been a good temperature when we’ve came and cooked well. The refilling of dishes is quick. • Unlimited fizzy drinks available for extra charge but still great value. • Toilets big and kept clean •overall the place is kept clean and tidy, and the staff are quick to clear empty plates for you. •Considering the price of a normal takeaway, Spoon is brilliant value and we will definitely be returning again.

It was our first time at the restaurant. I will start with the good points. There was a great selection of food . The quality was ok. My 13 year old son was charged as an adult. When we went in we were not told drinks were extra. I think it should all be included in the price, when you arrive. It seemed very noisy, like the air conditioning was on but not working. It’s was very hot also. The side doors were propped open. because of the noise it was hard to have a proper conversation. To finish the whole experience off, a member of the waiter team had terrible b o . The smell drifted around the restaurant which was very off putting. Because of this we left and will not be returning.

Lovely staff everywhere was clean and kept clean the only downside is some food was cold my partner was sick and I had a bad belly good for the price and kids enjoyed it

Place was very clean, staff were attentive. Price was high for a lunchtime and drinks were also expensive. Food quality was ok and there are a lot of options.

Midweek lunchtime with my family. Very attentive and friendly service with a good choice of food available for all ages and reasonably priced. Will definitely be back.

First time here and was impressed, great food, lots to choose from most staff friendly and polite, Cleared our table of dirty plates quickly. Only negative was guy serving the lobster needs to learn to crack a smile a bit more.

Had a very good Sunday Roast which was well prepaired and presented. The staff were friendly and attentive. There was also live music from around 5pm.

Fresh and delicious food. My family and I had a lovely time at your restaurant.
