Staff welcoming had special board asked before our food what sauces we wanted which thought was good touch food sizes good had mix grill all cooked lovely

It was the first time I have been to this pub, the food was great and of good size . I had a ploughman's lunch which I enjoyed and there was so much I took some home. The staff were warming and attentive. I will most definitely go again.

Came for a birthday lunch. Food was absolutely lovely and really good value. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be visiting again.

Although our table place wasnt exactly ideal at the top of the stairs as it was very busy, the quality of the Sunday roast was excellent. Probably the best I have had in decades. Well done to everyone - we will be back soon.

We were given a great table with a view of the excellent band. There were 4 of us, 2 veggies and 2 carnivores - all were very happy with the food. Good quality pub food and good value too with excellent local beer. The evening was a successful birthday treat with great atmosphere and service. Already booked again to return in a few weeks.

Incredible evening at Platform! The food is fantastic. Sunday roast or pie is always a great choice. Add in the amazing Dick Taylor and it’s a wonderful evening.

Nice Sunday lunch but the interior of the pub is so dark we couldn't see what we were eating. Great live music.

Sunday carvery is outstanding, good atmosphere and a very welcoming team. Won't go anywhere else.

The Sunday roast is the best roast I’ve eaten at a pub with a great selection of meat all cooked perfectly and good quality vegetables. you always get a good serving of your chosen meat as well unlike most places. Would definitely recommend to everyone

This is our local pub,. We eat there regularly as well as popping just for a drink. The new management are very welcoming and friendly, as are the staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Food is excellent with a varied menu. Highly recommend Sunday Lunch, great value for money. We had a very enjoyable New Years Eve. Really pleased this is our local.

We only discovered this place about three months ago but have visited seven times now and every time has been great. We’ve been as a couple and parties of six and nine. The food is excellent - even suits a very picky seven-year-old and a messy fourteen-months-old and the menu choices are excellent - and so are the ‘specials’! The beer is well-kept and well-presented Staff are welcoming and well-turned-out in matching sweatshirts with the pub logo. Nothing is too much trouble for them - our grandson (aged 7) has an insatiable appetite for tomato ketchup and required three refills. Another ‘bonus’ is that the local clientele are also friendly and welcoming! I cannot recommend The Master Builder highly enough! If I lived closer this would definitely be my ‘local’ - and I’d probably not go home for meals! Seriously!

Had a lovely time for my birthday. The food was great and the staff removed empty plates quickly and were polite. I do think it is quite pricey.

Amazing atmosphere with hard working workers . Your empty plate or not used plate is collected quickly , the cleanliness levels are pristine the food is glorious and overall it’s an amazing experience . The only thing I would say the price is a tiny bit too high especially when there could be a big family I feel you could maybe do a deal for the more people you bring other than that it’s perfect.

I was a little disappointed if I’m honest. I have been here several times to eat and always enjoyed it, but on this occasion it was really lacking in quality and choice. Crispy shredded duck was pork, there was no steak available due to something not working! There was no refills of the chips (despite being told they are cooking for 45 min!) and the pizza was burnt so my children wouldn’t eat it. I felt there was far less choice than normal and just generally not worth the money. Music played the same 4 songs on repeat and very loudly making it hard to talk at the table. Sadly I don’t feel I will be returning with my family.
