Excellent dining experience on Saturday evening with friends. Had a lovely window table in dining room. Christmas decorations were up which gave it an atmospheric and cozy feeling. Warm welcome, excellent food and service, great food and value for money. Menu has varied choice with good veg options. Still a local pub where you can meet friends for a drink whether dining or not.

As usual wonderful food, relaxed surroundings and brilliant staff to ensure a good welcome and a great evening

We had recommended The Royal Oak to some friends so we went with them yesterday evening and thoroughly enjoyed excellent meals. Very extensive menu selection . Generous portions. Very good quality ingredients. Friendly and attentive staff. We will definitely return again soon. Thank you.

Lovely setting, comfortable with a quiet atmosphere. The best of generous Sunday lunches. All such a pleasant day out.

Four of us went for dinner yesterday. We were shown to a lovely table in the restaurant side of the pub, quieter away from the bar. One of our party was gluten free and the waitress kindly checked with the chef about choices. The food was of restaurant quality and much enjoyed by all. Hearty portions and delicious. We will be back.

Great food, lovely friendly service, relaxed atmsophere. Beautiful setting. Great place for a meal after a walk around the nature reserve.

We stopped here on a journey from the Scottish Borders to Hertfordshire. We sat outside in the sun and enjoyed a lovely lunch. Staff are very friendly and the food was tasty and generous.

A superb evening from greeting onwards. Delightfully informal and dog friendly. Lively atmosphere throughout. A great range of food and lots of it. An oasis in troubled times.

Came across this basement restaurant by chance as we were strolling round Harrogate in search of a late lunch. In short, it’s a classy Italian restaurant with smart décor, friendly staff, plenty of menu choices and an interesting wine list. What more do you want?

We had a great meal here the food and staff were both amazing. I love this place it’s friendly nice atmosphere great people which they always welcome you here and are very helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves great food with a relaxing atmosphere

We were in Harrogate for a break and ate at Bistro Pierre as we use it at home in Derby. lovey food in gorgeous surroundings - though I prefer the look of our hometown one. Great food and service and handy for the shops!

Very impressed with the Inn at South Stainley from start to finish. It looks lovely, the service was very attentive, the food really very good indeed especially my monkfish with dahl and prawn pakoras. Excellent pint of local Ilkely Pale Ale and a glass of Rioja. My room was immaculate with a very comfy bed. what's not to like!
