Enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch, roast beef for me, lamb cutlets for hubby. Served with lots of veg, roast potatoes and yorkshire pudding. All cooked perfectly. Added a side of cauliflower cheese which was also very tasty. Did not have starters or desert and it was enough for us. Staff are very friendly and well trained. The building has been very well improved from a tradition pub and the loos are very stylish! A very enjoyable visit but we felt our tables were very close together but did not spoil our visit. Outside area looked a nice pleasant area on a sunny day. Will be visiting again.

Food was tremendous . Drinks was good atmosphere was great we visited for Sunday dinner . Only thing you could of done is got more bread for the pate and offered us water for the table , two couple joined after us and got offered water and we didn't. Didn't spoil the experience at all and we will come back as the food is amazing.

We had the 3 course lunch menu for £25 for 3 courses. Every course was delicious would highly recommend. Service was excellent also definitely worth a visit

2nd visit for the lunch time menu, aalthough we have been before for drinks and tapas. went for the 2 course & 3 course menu respectively for 2. 3 options to choose from on the starter and main courses. excellent food, friendly staff. recommended. give it a try.

I booked the Shepherds Rest for a surprise birthday meal for my wife. The food and service were great and everyone enjoyed their meals. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Shepherds Rest to family and friends.

First visit but definitely won’t be the last. Had brunch which was delicious. A lovely restaurant with very pleasant staff. Will be back.

Perfect evening. My favourite place to hang out. Wine delicious, glasses always squeaky clean and Lancashire platter just delicious. Fabulous atmosphere and great staff. See you soon Riley’s.

We booked a table online for 08/03/25 for 17:30. We got stuck in football traffic really close to the venue so we rang to say we will be there around 5 minutes after our table time for them to respond "have you booked a table" They hadn't reserved us our table even though we booked online upto 3 hours before hand and gave all the tables away to walk ins. We eneded up going elsewhere. I have been previously and it was amazing service and lovely food, I would suggest ringing to book or for them to check their online bookings

Had a nice meal and everything was as ordered. Obvs no alcohol in the restaurant but that wasn’t a problem. Not much atmosphere in the restaurant and no facility to tip staff if you didn’t have cash. Probs won’t go again
