Top notch food and service only 4 miles from us. On a par if not better than San Carlo in Hale Barns ! - Lemon Sorbet to die for !!!!

Bread and Butter was recommended by a friend. Went as a party of 4 for Sunday lunch. Best roast dinner we've had in a long time. Enjoyed every mouthful. Waitress was pleasant and attentative. Very enjoyable experience.

Dined here for the first time last night. Impressed with our reception where my online booking detailing a severe allergy had been noted and acted upon. Also impressed by the enthusiasm of the bar/waitress who was valiantly racing around doing both jobs as some staff had not yet aarrived (it was 5.30). Unfortunately the service was unsurprisingly slow, so we opted to settle for only a main course because we were due at the theatre for 7.30. The menu choices were rather short of vegetarian options, and also rather too many fish based dishes, but my tagliatelle was delicious and the seasoning and use of tarragon made it a far less boring dish than I expected. We will give it another go sometime soon!

We had a wonderful family meal over the Jubilee Weekend. Staff very welcoming and accommodating of an 18 month old . All our food was delicious. The menus is very innovative. This restaurant is a great asset for Clitheroe.

Would definitely recommend The Astoria for the excellent and varied food, good service and atmosphere for any occasion whether just for lunch / dinner or any special occasion. There is always a warm welcome by Adrian and his staff and attention to your requirements during your time at the Astoria.

Very quick and friendly service, enjoyable experience and great tasting food

Been going to Verdes for ages now with my mum and family friend for our monthly gatherings. Every time we go, the food is fantastic, truly Italian with an excellent balance of flavour, and taste, never over or undercooked. Excellent value with all day Sunday offer of 2 courses £14.95 or three-course meal at £17.95. Desserts are truly some of the sweetest, filling around, the cream adds so much to every dessert I have had there. I look forward to a sweet every time, especially the chocolate cake.

WOW what fabulous food, service and atmosphere! We were definitely treated to the most exquisite food - the best we have had in many years and will definitely be returning. The staff were excellent and the food fantastic. Booked on the back of others reviews and so glad that we did. Excellent dishes to a very high standard that I was not expecting - Clitheroe (in fact Lancashire!) has definitely been missing this standard of cuisine. Thank you!
