Papa Luigis – ChorleyAlways delicious food.
Whins Green KitchenService was so poor left before we got our drinks.
The Lodge – LancasterOur food on our 1st and 2nd visit could not be falted , however, on our 2nd visit we both chose rump steak for our main course only to be told after 10 minutes that they no longer had any, when I suggested ribeye as a 2nd choice they only had one left, so I chose Chicken Kiev and my partner gammon we waited a further 10 minutes to be told they had no gammon either, so we both went for chicken Kiev the waiter did offer to give us a reduction in the price as he thought to be let down three times was unacceptable. We appreciate its not the fault of the staff so we paid the full price. We booked our meal for 7 30 and we eventually had our food served at 8 50, we chose red wine to have with our steak which we didnt get and we had almost finished by the time the food arrived. All in all the staff were friendly and efficient and food still good
The Lodge – LancasterFantastic meal, friendly staff, fresh food and quick service
Anatolia Grill – St HelensTruly exceptional meal. Thoroughly deserving of its 2 Michelin stars. Wine flight was very unusual in a good way! Fantastic service in a beautiful setting.
Moor Hall – Restaurant with Rooms – OrmskirkVery impressed with the Bay Horse at Forton! Stylish yet traditional looking pub in a very pretty location. Well drilled staff and the food was spot on. Pub food but in a rustic restaurant style.
Bay Horse Inn – LancasterThe food was excellent. However, the service was left to be desired. We were never asked during the meal what we thought of it, we had to ask for the dessert menu and when that order was being taken the "cafe manager" rudely interrupted the poor waitress and asked her to go and do something else, rather than wait for her to finish what she was doing. It appeared to be disorganised. Other than that, a great place and thankyou.
Whins Green KitchenWent on Sunday,1st August for my wife’s birthday and had an excellent meal. We especially enjoyed the beef skewers, the prawns and the cod. Good service and a nice atmosphere
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallBooking easy, friendly welcome, varied menu including gluten free options, tasty food, recommended
Papa Luigis – ChorleyAbsolutely fantastic food, drinks, atmosphere & Service could not fault any of it, will definitely be returning, compliments to the Chefs & Bar Staff
Astoria – BurnleyFabulous Food ...Friendly staff..We love it
Astoria – BurnleyVery welcoming and managed to squeeze us in late Saturday afternoon. Great service and wonderful food. I highly recommend the Lasagne and we will certainly visit again during our break away.
The Canal Turn – CarnforthFood was absolutely perfect loved it. Will definately be eating there again soon
The Dog Inn – BlackburnBooked at short notice and was given a lovely table looking out on open views. As usual food is amazing. THIS is our favourite place. Will be back very soon..
Whins Green KitchenThe place is lovely, the food was really tasty, staff were attentive and I would definitely book again
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallExcellent website for booking a table. Clear instructions. Confirmatory email. Unfortunately the Water Witch had had a power cut on the day we visited so it was a limited menu. However the service and choice were excellent.
The Waterwitch – LancasterA lovely setting with beautiful views around. Being picky here: restaurant is very modern but atmosphere isn’t my cup of tea as it’s just one big room with a lot of tables and bright spots above so was very noisy and bright - not exactly a relaxed atmosphere. However, there are tables on a terrace outside so I am sure this would be fantastic on a lovely day. Food was superb - fresh, tasty and well presented. I had the Buddha bowl and my partner the Wellington. Both were superb. Couldn’t fault and real thought has gone into the flavours so definitely value for money. Service was ok, but could be improved. Staff were friendly and greeted us on entry and were attentive up to delivering mains. But then when we wanted to order dessert no one seemed to come back to us for quite a while. On the whole a quality place, I will return and would recommend.
