We will definitely be visiting The Dog Inn restaurant again. The food was delicious. We highly recommend a visit. You certainly won't be disappointed. The food is well presented and cannot fault the service and atmosphere.

Good selection of food on the set menu, and reasonably priced. Unfortunately service was poor, we had to ask for menus after 10mins, the replenishment of drinks was slow, and plates were clear while some were still eating. Out of 5 meals, 3 were really good but two quite bland. It was quite busy, so very noisy in the restaurant.

Another great meal at Verdes and glad to see them back open. Only issues were, time taken for order to be taken (They weren't busy when we arrived), order was incorrect for one of the dishes, long wait for food to arrive and left waiting a long time between first course and being offered dessert menu. We then had to ask for the bill. Lovely meal, nice atmosphere, but whilst I don't like being rushed, this time they were the opposite way, with absolutely no sense of urgency.

I ordered a sparkling water & got still water. Trivial but set the scene. Got 2 menus. Early bird & main menu. Person taking the order seemed never to have read the main menu. We had to point, a number of times, to what we want. We were told it was only his second day. That is no excuse. We joked to ourselves that he wouldn’t get a third day. I ordered fish. I was amazed when the waiter came back to ask how I wanted it cooked. After not getting anywhere the manager came over. It was obvious my order had been given incorrectly to the kitchen, despite it being pointed out on the menu. The starters were no better than ok. My main was poor. My wife’s, again fish, was so overcooked that it was inedible. We sent it back & declined the offer of an alternative. It was so bad my wife didn’t want anything else from them. At least they knocked it off the bill

Went to the Lodge today (Saturday) for lunch with friends. The food was amazing, all credit to the chef. We had the warm chicken salad, the back of cod and the steak sandwich. Everything was cooked perfectly and piping hot. We will most definitely be returning sooner rather than later!!!!! Well done the Lodge

From preparation to presentation the food is impeccable with top notch service . Can highly recommend . Bravo ! 5 stars

Another great meal. There was a misunderstanding about the order & the wrong meal arrived. They couldn’t have handled it any better. You find out how good a place is when things go wrong. Definitely will be back soon.

Lovely atmosphere and food. The location is just perfect, with fantastic views over the rolling countryside.

Booking was easy online. Beautiful restaurant, excellent service and very friendly staff. Made us feel very welcome. The menu choice was excellent making it hard to choose what we wanted. Lots of good varied choice. The food was excellent and a great varied wine menu too. The wine explanations were helpful in choosing a good bottle to suit our meal choice. Then the desert menu came and wow what a menu, again hard to choose and my choice was superb. Would love to return to try the rest of the menu when we are next in the area.

Excellent restaurant. Staff are very professional and service is excellent. The food is sourced locally, and cooked to perfection. Presentation of food beautiful. Would highly recommend a visit to the restaurant, but book in advance as it is very popular.

Love this place. The staff are all very attentive, the ambiance and background music are just right and the food is excellent.
