This is the fourth time we have visited and have thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal each time. The food is beautiful, with a thoughtful menu that is well cooked, plentiful and nicely presented. Service is great. The atmosphere is relaxed and you leave feeling that you have had a really lovely meal out. I can’t recommend highly enough!

The Staff in the resturaunt were good, very helpful, and had to help to overcome the complaints about the quality of the meals served.There were 2 tables occupied, and both tables (4 people) had problems with the quality of food served.The soup was ok. Both tables ordered beef (3 people) it arrived cold ,very fatty,with no green veg, the yorkshires were burnt to a crisp, On request, we were informed there was no Horseradish Sauce!! I had a very poor Risotto. cold ,stodgy.We were offered replacements,but we declined,as the first meals were so bad. if you wish to make a success of this resturaunt, you should employ a Chef who can cook.Our first experience in your resturaunt will be our last,and unless you can dramatically improve the quality of food served, your business wont last long
The Brasserie – LancasterWent for sunday lunch , not that busy really but had to wait over an hour for our food to be served, staff really nice but only 2 of them seemed understaffed in kitchen , food nice when it eventually came but all came at different times so couldn't eat together, there were 5 of us and 2 had finished before the others got there s , ok for drinks but wouldn't go again for food unless service improved drastically.
Tiger Lounge – RawtenstallWe have been on a Sunday several times in the past and always had excellent food and service. As we have not been for a while we decided to go again for the Sunday menu, their website says 2 courses £19, when you get there the menu has on £20.50. We were shown to our table drinks order taken, my husband had a shandy which was very flat. We decided to have a main and desert. Hubby ordered roast beef which I couldn’t have eaten as it was very rare. I had sea bass which I was so pleased about as the skin was crunchy how I like it but was far too salty. With our meal we got 2 small roast potatoes each, small potion of cauliflower cheese and carrots, very poor. We then asked for the desert menu to which she forgot to bring, I wouldn’t mind if it was busy but there were very quiet. After she started a few jobs she realised she had forgotten our menus. My hubby had sticky toffee pud which was lovely, I had the creme brulee which was tiny. The lady who took our main order in the past has been very pleasant but this time she must have been having a bad day, couldn’t even produce a smile. We both said we will definitely not be going back.

The Ginger Bistro – PrestonHad dinner here on the first night of a two night stay for a wedding. Lovely warm dining room and friendly helpful staff. Nice choice of starters and lots of mains choices. Excellent steaks but also other options including fish, chicken and lamb. The ribeye steak was probably the most flavoursome I’ve ever had and my partners lamb was pink and tender. Lovely and uncommon German wine. Very much enjoyed.

The Ginger Bistro – PrestonWe visited the Mad Hunter in Lancaster on Valentines Day after hearing great things about the restaurant. On arrival we were shown to our table near to the bar, we were offered drinks and given the set special menu to choose from. For starters we chose the baked scallops and the exotic tatare, both came beautifully presented and were very tasty. For our main course we both ended up having Monkfish, prawns and mussels in a South African Savannah, again served beautifully, piping hot and tasty. For desert we opted for the Chocolate sharer.....................of which I didn't get much! (Not sure the other half understands the concept of sharing chocolate!) but what I did have was lovely. All in all a great visit. We will definitely return
The Mad Hunter – LancasterUnfortunately we did not stay to eat. Our friend recommended the Tiger Lounge, so I booked it for our Valentines meal. On arrival it was extremely busy and we waited 20 minutes at the bar for a drink. I asked about the table but were told to wait. Another couple walked out after standing at the bar for around 15 minutes. Then we were seated in the middle of the room, in the path from the main door to the bar. Was knocked in to 3 times by customers. The music was extremely loud and the general atmosphere was carnage. We decided to leave. As I stood up to leave a drunken man fell back on to my foot! Not a great first experience. I could see that the food looked delicious and the staff were friendly. Just not enough staff to accommodate such a busy evening.
