Fat Olive – OrmskirkI took my girlfriend here for her birthday along with our 2 year old son. The staff where very friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely amazing. We have recommended the restaurant to family and friends and will be visiting again.
Italian Cottage – ChorleyOctober 2011. Tried to find a different place for lunch but being unimpressed with alternatives we returned to my wife's favourite Deli-Med. Tasty wholesome homemade soup and a hot sandwich were just right. Would recommend to anyone.
Deli Med – PrestonOct 2011 visited several times. however, was v disappointed this week. both starter and pasta were undercooked. left most of it.
Italian Orchard – PrestonMy wife and I ate at Pond on Friday night, it was the first time we had been there since it moved. having a hard time picking from the menu we decided to opt for the 'banquet for two'. at the point of ordering we were shown the banquet for 4 menu which had a good mix of basic tapas dishes and premium (steak, prawns etc) and were told that the banquet for 2 was very similar with just a few dishes less. what we got were 6 very basic dishes, with no premium ones included. when we complained about this (and were due to pay £45 for this) the manageress seemed very 'put-out'. she disappeared for 10 minutes and came back with an obviously freshly printed banquet for 2 menu which had all the dishes we had eaten on and one more. funny how they couldn't find one before we ordered. in relation to the missing dish we were asked "do you still want this?", to which we replied well we are paying for it!!! most of the food appeared to have been warmed through with varying degrees of efficiency in a microwave and i still can't get over how they can present about 25pence worth of vegetables sauteed in oil with a few herbs and tell you that it is worth between £6 and £8. nothing was inedible but the lack of value for money couldn't help but leave you with a bad taste in your mouth. Preston really needs some good eateries and this isn't helping.
Duk-Pond – PrestonI have recently been to the Pines, I have to say that it has really let its standards slip. The food wasn't the best and from what I believe the owner is struggling to pay the rent..maybe this is the end of the Pines? What a shame!!
Haworths Restaurant at The Pines Hotel – ChorleyFirst class restaurant. Great food and service and immaculately clean. We will re-visit.
Anaz Indian Restaurant – DarwenThe service is superb. The staff are very friendly and always welcoming. the food is good too.
Smiths Arms – PrestonMaxwells has a warm, inviting atmosphere where you can enjoy delicious homemade food with a wicked hot chocolate.
Maxwells Cafe & Delicatessen – Lancasterthe food was pretty awesome!!!
Double Tree Indian Restaurant – PrestonFood very good but takeaway waiting time Poor
Sangam Balti House – PrestonVisited on 8 October 2011 and the food wasn't good. I ordered poached salmon and received rubbery salmon, the lemon slice had seen better days, my husband order mixed grill and this was tough as old boots. Just move to the area and this was our first try - will not be returning
Border Rose – Todmordennot good at all food awful service not good chicken not fresh garlic bread was not fresh.made early and frozen i think .don't waste your money I've had better pub food
Monte Cristo – Accringtonfantastic one of the best places to eat in lancashire service was top rate and the food excellent went on a sat night 6 of us on the round booth table ask for this table if booking it holds upto about 6 i think we where right next to the singer and it was great.we all went for the set meal and the food just kept coming and coming we be eating here again no problems 10/10
Casa Tapas – Rawtenstallwe went here on a wed night and it wasn't the best poor service left for ages and nobody came over to see if everything was ok which it was not it was full for a wed night and we where squeezed in the service was slow.i ordered steak which is one of the worst i have had very thin and very very fatty and could not get anyone to tell them so payed and went we never go back
Francos – AccringtonRecently booked a table on a night when they were having a casino night (the waitress gave us the option to join this evening and details of prices et, however we declined). We were the only two in the restaurant. On a positive note the hotel is clean and welcoming and our wine was brought into the bar where we were sitting prior to the table being ready. The dining room had little atmosphere and no music which might have helped but they had linen napkins which was nice. Bread roll somewhat stale, first course of black pudding very nice, my friend's whitebait came without lemon but was brought on request. Mains - well, veg arrived without any serving implements, trio of meats - beef was good but other two meats very dry and over cooked with lots of peppercorn sauce. Potato a little al dente. The wine was good and it was £61 for two without dessert or coffee. Our complaints were noted but that is all. I couldn't recommend this as a way to spend a pleasant evening I am afraid.
