We have visited the Italian Cottage several times and have never been disappointed. Used to visit the Parmesan and Pepper they previously ran and was disappointed when this closed but at least now have got another favourite Italian. If you have a good appetite the starters are to die for, myself I find them too filling as wouldn't eat my main meal. Myself and partner Ian tend to share one of the garlic breads (a different one each time ) and the favourite is the chili onions garlic bread but all worth a try. You will not be disappointed with any of the main dishes either and have yet to find a favourite now. They have a specials board which changes and tends to be fish courses which are also nice and tasty. The staff there are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble,. Parking near the Italian cottage is not a problem either as there is a large car park within a minute walking. IF you have not been before give it a try but make sure you book as the place is so busy you may well get turned away.

I've been to the Bangla on a few occasions and it is the best Bangladeshi restaurant i have been to. the food is fantastic the tables are well set out and comfortable and the staff and service is 100%. I will be there again soon see you all then.

We eat out regularly at this restaurant. It has excellent food, excellent staff and is a lovely place to visit. It has an atmosphere which makes you fell welcome whether you are popping in after work or dining out in style, a remarkable achievement. My friends travel to Chorley from Eccles (24 miles) to eat here with us!!!!

Enjoyed an excellent dish of south African kingclip with chorizo mash! Great location with really friendly staff. South African hospitality!

Ok, granted this is a tapas restaurant that offer a fairly reasonable menu, however the quality and variety of the dishes left a lot to be desired last Saturday afternoon. The same sauce seemed to run through most of the chicken dishes, most of the dishes were bland and unimaginative though the whitefish and calimari were not bad. We could taste the cooking fat in the potato dishes and well, do not get me started on the cleanliness. Our table was so sticky that my partners book actually stuck to it when put down, as did our napkins, glasses and bowls. Definitely a place we will not be in a hurry to return to.

Four of us visited this Indian on Friday night. Advised to book but probably wasn't necessary. The staff were very welcoming, menu extensive and easy to understand. Restaurant lovely and clean. Food was excellent with complimentary drinks included. Will definitely be making another visit. Most enjoyable.

visited Mano and Joans place last night, an absolutely fabulous meal and the service was spot on. such friendly staff and all very attentive. this is the only tapas restaurant worth visiting and just a short train ride from Liverpool.thanks and well done.

Really lovely traditional pub. Nice bar and open fire. Staff couldn't do enough to make you feel welcome. Excellent food and very reasonable...we were all very full! Well worth the visit, we were certainly not disappointed and will be going again.

Wanted to go somewhere for a great Sunday lunch and was definitely not disappointed. Plenty of food, great prices and superb quality beers. Friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. Have been back already for a midweek meal and food was just as good!

This is the best restaurant we have ever been to. The food is just amazing, and such a brilliant choice. We have been over Christmas, lunch time and in the evening, and all menus are superb. The service is the best we have ever experienced in this country, it is the outstanding service that we see in other countries. The manager is very attentive and eager to please your every wish. Your drink is never empty without one of the wonderful serving staff asking if you would like another. Above all, I can not express how much I love this restaurant! I have recommended it to everyone I know

I went here yesterday with a colleague and we were both disappointed. I ordered fish and chips (small) as I wasn't very hungry. Small??? - MINUTE would be a better description - I have never seen such a small portion - it would not have fed a small child. A few thick chips (6 or 7) and a dollop of mushy peas. £8! My companion had tasteless duck pasty with a very small portion of fries. The guy I spoke to about it just said "so you're disappointed?" and then drifted away, never to return. I shall never return either....

this is a good restaurant. i would recommend it to people who are looking to dine or go for special occasions

Excellent meal in pleasant surroundings. The evening we visited the staff was low in numbers, but that made no difference, there were no delays and certainly no rush. The menu choice, the meal and service was excellent. We will go again and maybe in the lighter evenings to see more of the locality.

I have visited the Malt house on several occasions within the last few years. I would consider it to be a good pub-restaurant within a lovely setting. Homemade fresh meals are fabulous especially the sweet potato chips! Never been disappointed yet.

As a vegan of many years I was delighted with my experience at Jim's. The chef was very helpful and was happy to alter any of the dishes to accommodate my vegan and my partner's gluten free diet. The food was excellent, the service was first class 'service with a smile' even though they were clearly very busy and the price was very reasonable, I couldn't fault it at all. We had a wonderful time and will become regular visitors!
