Seasons – ChorleyI went to the Restaurant in a party of nine on Sunday 28th October. We arrived late not our fault but never the less there was no problem with the booking. We had a lovely meal in very pleasant surroundings and nothing was to much trouble for the staff. Would recommend Fence Gate Inn to anybody Well Done.
The Fence Gate – BurnleyVisited this pub a few years ago and it was OK then but years on and a return to the pub and Wow, what a transformation. It now offers disabled access, it allows superb views, it has some fine beers and lagers and the food is very nice with some interesting specials on offer. I would have liked to score this pub bad and say stay away but that would be me trying to stop other folk going then I would be guaranteed a good seat every time I went.
Grey Mare Inn – BlackburnNice pub with disabled access, friendly service, good food and nice surroundings. We have been a few times to this pub and have not been let down.
The Willows – Blackburnafter hearing about the smiths we decided 2 give it a whirl,we were not disappointed at all everything was fantastic, n we will b going bk soon .
Smiths Arms – Prestonwent to truffles as guests from three bells brandy as competition winners and surprise on arrival canopes(fantastic)then a hot/cold buffet salmon & chicken in white wine sauce + rice also pasta salad new pots cream pots cold mixed with spring onion salad cream & onion(the best)wholemeal bread chunks etc what a feast. the sweet was apple pie & meringue with fruit & cream(like you've never tasted) we went as freebie guests but became lovers of the place & food what lovely people & fantastic food 9/10
Truffles – ChorleyAfter searching for a place to eat in the area, I stumbled across the excellent website and it looked like the place for me. The place was friendly and the atmosphere relaxing. I ordered the jumbo haddock and chips and wow it was enormous, barely fitting on the plate, and the chips were awesome - nice and chunky. Overall I had a great meal in a beautiful location
The Greyhound – LancasterThe service was the worst ever. Drinks were brought without trays and we waited ages! Seemed a very amateur approach. food was nice though although portions too big and again the wait was unacceptable. I won't go again.
Seasons – ChorleyMe and my Fiance ate at Bangla Fusion at the weekend and i must say take the service was the best i have ever had, the waiters could not do enough for you, i am vegan and they accommodated all my needs beautifully, the fish dishes also are impeccable my fiance had the salmon which was cooked to perfection. the prices were good and the menu was of a good selection also. we will definitely be going again. sarah southport
Nellie The Elephant – PrestonBeautiful place ,great service ,very good food and authentic Italian ambience. We will go back again!!!
La Veranda – RawtenstallWe and numerous friends have been dining here for a number of years. The food is excellent, to a high quality especially compared to other restaurants in the area. The owners Nigel and Ysanne have really turned this place around, it has a good atmosphere, the staff who are mainly young people provide an excellent service, obviously trained to a high standard. The wine and whisky list are extensive in different price brackets and the views over the river are hard to beat. One special mention - Greig Barnes, head chef and his kitchen, they have been catering for me being a vegan diner for all these years and I cannot thank them enough for all the time and effort they put into making some of the best meals I have had the pleasure of eating
Spread Eagle – ClitheroeWe visit the Green Man whenever we get the chance, the food and the staff are excellent. My wife is a chef and can be a little fussy when it comes to eating out, but cannot find fault with anything on the menu. The food is locally sourced and comes in sizeable portions which is a winning combination in my eyes.
Green Man – Prestonfab food good service you must try this
The Walton Arms – AccringtonOur second visit here and we were not disappointed. Although we live quite a distance away we feel it well worth the journey, the staff are very friendly and nothing is to much trouble.
Amico Mio – ClitheroeThe food is excellent, tasty homemade pies and excellent homemade Sunday lunches homemade Yorkshire puddings and generous portions. Tasty fresh food.
Border Rose – TodmordenWe went here on a lovely summers evening and decided to share a bottle of rose outside before our meal - well we paid a mind boggling £18 for a bottle of Echo Falls!! £4 in the local off licence!! The food was ok but portions were small and the service very slow. Staff were pleasant but this was not enough to redeem the evening. Would not go back even though we are local.
The Halfway House – ChorleyIts rare indeed these days to find a genuine italian family restaurant. The chef and staff are real italians, the atmosphere transports you to Italy, there is no other italian restaurant in the country that compares to this little treasure in England. the food is second to none and the portions are every bit italian size, MMMMMMMM. There is no pretention here: you get fed and you feel like a king. well done guys keep the good work and character going.
Fresco Fresco – LeylandBeen here many, many times and always delighted. Last night we went to the tenner evening and it was so average. Desperate need of professionalism in menu and service. We would rather have paid more and not been disappointed. Soup on one of the tables went back three times before they abandoned it. May be we chose a bad night but sadly we are unlikely to return despite our previous satisfaction. The cheap price on a Tuesday is very short termism for repeat customsrs.
