D & R Tennant

What a find!! hidden down a beautiful country lane The Buck Inn is by far one of the best eating and drinking houses around. The menu choice is unbelievable for the size of the pub and the prices are reasonable. The gammon is awesome and sourced locally apparently. Service is truly amazing to say how busy they get, a credit to the staff who unlike most places do afford you a smile for your trouble. Truly exceptional!!

The Buck Country Pub – Clitheroe

as at the three fishes, i really object to having to part with my credit card on arrival, then at these prices have to go to the till and order yourself. I did write a letter of complaint, but alas, no one could be bothered to reply !

The Highwayman – Kirkby Lonsdale

Overpriced, small, not quite hot enough food. The staff constantly hover over you, i won't go back !

Honey Tree – Morecambe

veg swimming in water, sour faced bar maid, good waiter, food Ok, it's set in nice 1970 decor !

Saffron Indian Restaurant – Morecambe

Quite simply the best Italian meal you will find. The specials are fantastic and the portions are generous.

Amico Mio – Clitheroe

Although the food was good, there wasn't much choice for soft drinks. I would say it's a place to go once. I expected a proper Thai restaurant but the place looked more like a English tea house.

Thai Orchid The – Preston

I cannot fault the service no matter how big or small the size of the party I dine with. The food is always consistently good and the happy hour is amazing value for money. The menu is so varied and someone would be hard pushed not to find something they would like.

Spaghetti House Restaurant – Lancaster

I have been visiting the spaghetti house for the past 7 years and find the service to be one of the best around. The staff make us feel extremely welcome and cannot do enough for us. I have never had a bad meal their and if anything my only fault would be that the portions are to generous. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and have taken friends there on many occasions.

Visited for a bar meal on 15/9.07. Limited choice on the menu and very, very expensive for pub food. Fish, chips and peas cost more that £10.50. Chips were inedible -enormous and hard inside, overcooked and "hard baked" on the outside. When we complained to a waiter my plate was removed. Waiter returned some minutes later with the same plate to tell me that the chef had said that the problem was with the type of potatoes used and that he had added some more of the offending chips to my plate!!! Not worth the 60 mile round trip. Doubt if we'll ever go again.

Inn at Whitewell – Clitheroe

Just amazing. Fantastic food, helpful staff and lovely family atmosphere. Go - now!!!

Tinos – Preston
Mr Customer

The staff were very good and the atmosphere was lovely. The food looked very nice, but unfortunately it tasted very bland. It was very expensive for what it was and we would be reluctant to go again unless we hear of better reviews,

I'm afraid I can't comment on much else as we did not stay long enough. We were kept waiting for 15 minutes past our booking time without being offered drinks, then told we'd have to hurry when ordering our food as they had lots of tables coming in. The waiter argued with us and the manager told us to leave without hearing our side, absolutely disgusting treatment.

Many visits to Casa Tapas and I have decided to post my first review ever on a restaurant. I have been here many times and seen the transformation as the owners have constantly improved the surroundings. The food quality has never changed its excellent. The new bar area, and decor has transformed this restaurant as the place to be - great fun , great music and so nice to meet many friends the regulars - but its not clicky - I would have no hesitation in recommending Casa Tapas you will need to book on a Friday and Saturday as the place fills up very quickly

Booked a meal on a Saturday night when a artist was on. Given a table near the entrance and had to shout to hold a conversation. Table was 45 min late. Meal was very late coming, given garlic bread as apology for them forgetting our order, but our appetite was nearly gone. Asked for sweet menu waited 20 mins and asked again, manager blamed waitress. We were given drinks to compensate but it was too late by then night was ruined. Wrote letter to complain but didnt even receive a reply. If you are determined to go here book a early table away from the entrance if there is a artist on.

After a good recomendation from a family member,we decided to visit the Original Farmers Arms on Sun 9th Sept. Unfortunatly we found the evening very dissapointing. Although we were earlier than we had booked we were available to be seated and order. However one of the starters ordered was not exactly what was imagined (tiger prawns that looked like ordinary large prawns). Although the main courses were nice, one was slightly wrong to what was ordered and the other needed to be re-cooked. After a ten minute wait since the mains and waiting for a waitress to take the orders of desserts and coffees with no success, we decided to pay the bill and leave. We are sorry to give this bad report, but this is a true reflection on how we felt about the evening.

This pub has gone downhill fast. Up until my recent visit in late June 2007, I was recommending it to my friends but afterwards had quickly to go round and warn them against it. It was service without a smile; no please or thankyou, minimum conversation and little if any eye contact. The drinks were overpriced and the cutlery was literally thrown on to the table as the waitress rushed by.The prawn piri piri, which I chose from the specials board, consisting of the minutest of prawns swimming around in a watery concoction which could hardly be called a sauce and served alongside a tablsepoonful of limp salad. My friend had chosen a sausage with cheese melt on a baguette which was equally obnoxious. We left without ordering a desert and won't be returning. What a shame! The surroundings are beautiful, the village picturesque and the pub full of charm..... unlike the proprietors. Don't go there.

Assheton Arms – Clitheroe

Excellent simple Indian food served by usual friendly staff. Bring your own bottle is a bonus and adds to the simplicity of this place. Very Good Dan Liverpool
