An enjoyable evening had by all - 4 of us on a mid-week get together. Really appreciated the attentiveness of the service. Food is some of the best in Lancaster. Will be visiting again soon and hopefully my guests for the evening will visit again too!

After seeing a friends Facebook post about the meal they where having at the water witch, I thought I have to try it myself, tooked away at the side of the canal, Beeming with the sun it was a perfect setting for a nice cold beer and some food. The staff where constantly on there feet and came over regularly to check if we needed anything else all very polite and attentive. Both myself and my partner had the pate and chicken goujon starters which where amazing, then I had a chicken salad which was the larger version but I thought to myself I’d have hated to have seen the small as it wasn’t that large but it was delicious either way and my partner had the fish and seeet potato fries, larger portion again, the fish was also amazing and not over cooked and dry at all, I topped it with the best sticky toffee pudding and ice cream I’ve ever tried. Over all I would definitely go again and have since told my friends about it,

Was utterly disappointed to find out as soon as we sat down at the restaurant to be told they do not serve alcohol. There was nothing on the website to inform you of this. Apparently as the venue was originally an old church it has something to do with the clause, however they give you the choice to pop to the local shop and by some. If this is the case you have already broken your rules., therefore we order two mains and a rice ate and left. Pretty poor evening. Decor was the only attraction for this venue.

Stopped off in Lancaster to break up our journey to the Lakes. We’d pre booked for The Water Witch, on arrival we was taken through the Covid regulations then shown to our table by a very pleasant and attentive young lady. We both opted for a Club Sandwich with extras of skin on fries. The food was beautiful and served quickly, also a fine selection of beers & lagers. A lovely place with lovely staff. We wouldn’t hesitate to visit again when in the area.

Absolutely fabulous meal. Chris, our server was fantastic, went out of his way to make our dining experience perfect. Would highly recommend.

There were four of us ,all had different meals and everyone agreed the food was great , my steak was done exactly as I had asked for,everything was hot and served quickly . The service from our waitress was superb I just wish I could remember her name to tell her so in this review. We will be going again, without a doubt. Marks out of ten? 11. Michael.

Call on Sunday for Sunday dinner on our way to the Lake District Meal and staff were excellent. Would definitely recommend, we will be back when coming to the lakes later in the year. Also thanks for letting us stop over in our Motorhome

Lunched out for the first time in ages. My friend had fish and chips. Big portion of white fish with golden batter and chunky chips, looked DEElicious and she said it was. I had a roast ham sandwich with side salad, skin on fries and the most yummy piccalilli ever. I'm not usually a fan of piccalilli but ate what was left of this one unaccompanied! Our next lunch date will be back to the Waterwitch.

1st time here and definitely won't be back which is unfortunate as it is a lovely setting. Food very mediocre. Opted for a sharing platter and at £24 I did expect more than what we received. Bread stale, 3 bits of butter between 2? Garlic mushrooms tasted sour so we did not eat them and mixed salad had seen better days. Very disappointed as we were keen to try here given the good reviews.

A very enjoyable meal, good atmosphere, a friendly team, who made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended

Fantastic food, lovely staff , great service and very reasonably priced.

What can I say about this food Superb comes to mind. I had salmon and my wife had gammon perfect. As for the dessert we both had the salted caramel profiteroles with chantilly cream, 8 I repeat 8 profiteroles each was a meal in itself. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Will definitely be visiting several times this year

I found it hard to believe that every member of staff could be exempt from wearing a mask to prevent the spread of COVID which spoiled what would have been a nice day visiting our grandson at uni.

Went for Sunday lunch, both excellent meal and excellent service. The staff were very helpful too, 10/10.

Food was excellent. Service was great. really lovely staff all friendly polite and helpful. Speed of service was good and staff were very accommodating as we were late and held our table for us which we had for 2 and a half hours which was great. Felt like we had time and space to really enjoy the experience. Good old Waterwitch. Always a favourite with us on a nice day.
