Contacted Farrah at the Station Hotel a while ago to make a booking, ahead of a planned hot air balloon flight nearby. Changed times and party numbers a few times, and nothing was ever too much trouble. This carried forward into the service when we arrived yesterday. Farrah greeted us, and gave us a lovely private table for our group, and was attentive but not overbearing. All 7 meals came out together, and were cooked and presented beautifully, and everybody had something different, and all enjoyed their meals. We will most definitely add this to our favourites list, and visit again when in the area. Thank you all so much.

Poor meal - expensive too

We had the most delicious lunch here. The chipotle chicken flat bread was really tasty as was the pizza and chicken burger. Highly recommend! The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was fresh and fast.

Steak night with a bottle of wine for his birthday… well yes please! Great service, choice of steaks and sauces and a lovely bottle of house red to accompany the meal. All for £40 and gorgeous melt in the mouth steak. Could’ve done with some onion rings, but our server asked chef who assured us that’s getting added to the sides listings. We’re local but previous tasty food here felt like the best option when it coincided with the birthday too. New manager who made a point of introducing herself to us, nice touch! We’ll defo be going back.

We really, really wanted to love the Ship, we have popped in before just for a coffee by the lovely fire. The two lamb dishes were not available which left a very small choice of meals unless we had wanted a burger. No sign of sea bass as seen on reviews. The food seemed really average, the chicken and leek pie was stodgy and the chips were disappointing. The gammon had quite a lot of gristle which we took home for the dog. The coffee was also not the best. The staff were amazing, friendly and attentive - I felt sorry for them having to serve the food.

We had Sunday Lunch with friends who were visiting from New Zealand, apparently Yorkshire puddings aren’t a thing in New Zealand, the meal was amazing and didn’t disappoint. Thank you for making their final meal in the UK a memorable one.

As ever lovely food, portion size just right, we all had ciabattas and all delicious, good service, really enjoyed our visit!

Good food from a wide menu. Plenty of veggie options. Excellent service and a great bustling atmosphere.

Our usual 'go to' pub was fully booked, so reserved a table online which was really easy. The pub was quite busy but had a pleasant atmosphere. A couple of items were off the menu, but there was still a good choice. Food and drinks were really good, we'll definitely be going back.

The Waterwitch is without doubt our fav pub in Lancaster. We especially like it when we can sit outside next to the canal. The service is always fantastic and the choice of beers is excellent. We have eaten here many a time and the food is delicious and not overpriced. Never had a bad meal at this pub! Lovely atmosphere too.

Fantastic food, had been once previously years ago and the quality hasn’t dropped. Will definitely be back.
