Went for the first time yesterday afternoon. For the lunchtime menu. Wow!! How have we not been here before?? Amazing food and excellent service. Couldn’t fault it at all. Can’t wait to have an excuse to go back there again.
Maxis – YorkWe had a lovely family meal here on New Year’s Day. Food was plentiful and delicious. Staff were attentive and efficient without being overwhelming. It was our second visit and I recommend a visit to see if it suits you too.

The Royal Oak Staveley – HarrogateExcellent as ever. We’ve been going to Maxis for over 40 years, from the original Leeds restaurant to York, and it never disappoints. We’ve eaten Chinese food all over the UK and abroad, and this is easily the best. The dim sum menu is outstanding and an absolute must. The staff are amazing, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely care. Highly recommended by our whole family and friends.
Maxis – YorkLovely meal in a beautiful setting. The food at Tocketts Mill is always exceptional and the staff are friendly and very efficient. We ate in Chico’s and although it was very cold outside, the heating in there is so good that we were lovely and cosy.

Sambuca Ristorante Morley – MorleyWe were slightly disappointed with our New Years Eve meal. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Although some areas needed a little TLC. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Sadly the service was very slow, even though it wasn't overly busy. The food when it arrived was very good. I can highly recommend the French Onion Soup. We ordered coffees which were forgotten, so we left without. Worth a visit if these problems are ironed out.

Tocketts Mill Country Park and Restaurant – GuisboroughAbsolute taste sensation. Could tell from the minute we walked in. Beware you can’t order the full menu, I mean you can if you can eat it all, the beware is the food envy when you see other plates comes out, hence we will 100% be back to get through the dishes. Best food experience I’ve had in a long time. Staff lovely and a great atmosphere. Thanks for a tasty New Year’s Eve x (the smallest suggestion, a little more heating upstairs would be recommended)

Food For Cowboys – HullFirst time booking was for a small group of friends for a Christmas 2025 get together. We had a really fabulous experience at Panuozzos. So, much s, I booked again for my son and I, for New Year’s Eve, after raving about panuozzos at work a couple more girls booked for New Year’s Eve too. We certainly celebrated on both occasions and were not disappointed. The food was really good and full of flavour, and the bottomless drinks service was excellent – fast, well organised, and never left us waiting. The staff were amazing also. All the girls who served at Christmas and new year were so friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. Great atmosphere, great service, and great food – we’ll definitely be back very soon!
