We visited on Thursday evening for my daughter in-laws birthday. We were a table of six which included three gluten free diners and we were very well catered for with the gluten free menu. The food was tasty, hot and plentiful. I had the ribeye steak and it had the most lovely flavour. Infact all six of us enjoyed the food very much. Service was attentive but not intrusive. We all had starters and mains but were too full for dessert, but I did notice the cheeseboard comes with gluten free crackers which I am very impressed with as not many restaurants offer the crackers. We have visited many times as we are local and can say we will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely evening.

What an absolute gem this place is!!! Food is stunning, the staff are so very polite, and priced so reasonable. Can’t recommend this place enough, shall be returning many times!!

Absolutely delicious food that I am still thinking about now, so fresh and tasty and I am looking forward to going back. Thank you Chef and also lovely Chris and Team who were warmly welcoming and made us feel relaxingly looked after.

I stayed at the Craven whilst working in the area a few years ago and remembered the beef Wellington as being really good and told my wife about it so many years later I decided to take her we stayed in the area and booked in for an evening meal. We both had the beef Wellington and I'm pleased to say it was as good as I'd remembered and my wife enjoyed it too I would definitely recommend

We came here Friday after reading all the very good reviews. And we left utterly disappointed. We heard the waiter telling a table the menu had changed and they wanted it to be more authentic Indian as they had changed chef's, but there's noway that a authentic butter chicken tastes like packet chicken in tomato soup. My partners meal was bland too, weve had better tasting Jars from the supermarket. After listening to 3 tables around us, they all had the same opinion. As the old say goes, if it's not broke don't fix it! We've never been before this week so I fear we've missed out on the good stuff!

Great venue with a lovely atmosphere. The food is delicious and staff were attentive and friendly. Great experience all round.

Me and the husband went yesterday afternoon, staff were very friendly and efficient and there was a very good range of food, I did find some of the food could of been hotter but majority of it was absolutely fine there were some very nice dishes and I tried some I wouldn't usually try. All in all a very nice meal and would definitely go again.

Very happy with the food and service

Our first visit to Raphs,,it's a nice trendy looking bar,quite a good atmosphere plus I dare say when the bands are on even more so. However, our food wasn't so great,quite bland ,not only mine but my wifes aswell required a lot of seasoning,to make it edible. The service was good tho .

Really tasty food , great quality and huge portions Second time I’ve been and seriously don’t know why they don’t reduce the portion sizes The starters are a main size , I only ate 1/2 so came away with food waste guilt Couldn’t attempt a pudding.

We stayed locally at the old james Herriot house. What a gem we found in the Kings Arms. Very warm and welcoming staff. The staff where amazing even though they where super busy. The food was tasty, well presented locally sourced. We would definitely come back

Excellent service, nothing is to much trouble. Staff were very busy, but always smiling and very pleasant, always happy to help or advise. Food was hot, and plentiful. Every time we go to York we always book Panda mamas, excellent value, excellent service and great food, always something new to try, even my fussy daughter loved it. Suitable for veggies to carnivores, fantastic choices.

Pleasant setting in the restaurant and meal was very good value. Could not manage a pud, mores the pity!
