We ate at the Aegean on the 15th May whilst we were over on holiday from Northern Ireland. We used to live nearby and called at the old place several times and enjoyed it. This was our first time at the new place and it is just as faultless. The initial greeting made us feel welcome and we got a lovely window table. My mixed soulvaki was grilled to perfection as were my wife's grilled king prawns. The starters of meatballs and tzatziki were great and the pitta bread is superb. All in all another fantastic meal at the Aegean. We will be back, thanks to all the staff.

We always book Oscars when visiting York. As usual, we were not disappointed. First class service with a smile and very attentive as always. The food was also top notch as ever. 10/10... can't criticise perfection.

I don't normally do reviews, but after visiting the Agean for a meal with friends, I just had too. To sum up this restaurant in a world "Superb" best Greek food I have tasted outside the Greek islands. The service was fantastic and friendly even though it was a busy Saturday night, the food was delicious, authentic, plentiful and reasonably priced. Will definitely go back, try it you won't be disappointed.

What a fabulous place to eat. Buzzing vibrant atmosphere and I can honestly say the best Italian food I have ever tasted. I just wish I lived nearer. The staff were all so attentive and friendly. A real family feel and very busy, so worth booking in advance as we did.

We had a wonderful lunch on Saturday. Every dish was excellent and so very different. Service and atmosphere lovely and we will most definitely be back again. Particularly impressed with vegetarian options

Had a great lunch at the cowshed last Sunday. Everyone enjoyed the meal ,all 3 generations! Lovely atmosphere and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. Recommend you book ahead to be sure of getting a table especially inside. Great walk on the beach with the dogs afterwards. We'll be back!

Great food and ambience. The food and service was spot on (ordered from the earlybird menu) and can’t fault it! Will definitely come back as we has such a good time!

As always, the food was excellent. Very authentic and tons of flavour. Love the Greek beers and the staff are always friendly.

The experience last might fell way short of any of the good reviews! Given Sushi menu but Sushi but not avail until 1 hour after we arrived. Asked for wine - out of four choices - our choice not available and second choice only as a half bottle. Food served in random order. Tempura soft shelled crab was easily mistaken for tempura pumpkin ( also ordered) - it was that tasteless. Spicy beef udon tough - a rice base dish GuyDon (?) was served very late and like baby food. Asked for bill and made to wait while the apparent senior waitress faffed about dealing with inconsequential distractions. All in all an awful experience.

Fantastic food, fantastic service, our go to place for Italian cuisine.

Absolutely amazing food and the staff are so helpful and friendly. I will be returning very soon with my family.
