Food For Cowboys – HullWe went for dinner last night with friends, the meal for us all was absolutely delicious, the girls had halibut with muscles, the men went for the swordfish with chips. We shared a trifle the men went for bread and butter pudding. Absolutely amazing. A lovely pub with great food and friendly staff. Can’t wait to return and sample more off the fish menu. Which by the way I could haven’t all of the dishes.
The Bay Horse at Ravensworth – RichmondHad a wonderful evening at Tocketts Mill last night. The food was beautiful, I had the lamb steaks and they were delicious. One young waiter that served us was excellent, he was polite and had a joyful personality which was very refreshing. All waiting staff were on the ball and helpful. We definitely will be returning.
Tocketts Mill Country Park and Restaurant – GuisboroughWe were in Askrigg for the weekend and booked dinner for Saturday evening. On Friday we popped in for drinks and sampled the trio of third pints, where was a wonderful way to showcase the local ales on offer. On Saturday we returned and were led through to a wonderful space in the restaurant. We were superbly looked after from a wonderfully friendly and attentive team. The food was equally great, with a fabulous starter of garlic mushrooms topped with Wensleydale, followed by a delicious burger with more Wensleydale cheese and bacon and for my wife a delicious Thai curry. The food was so good that we were also tempted by dessert which did not disappoint. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will certainly return when back in the area int he future. 5 stars all round from us!

Denmans Restaurant – HalifaxWe had an amazing meal at the Craven Arms. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is really cosy and relaxed. The staff were so pleasant and made you feel very at home. We also loved the menu with lots of interesting vegan options- the mushroom pie was excellent! It was also very reasonably priced given the quality of the food and the good sized portions. We would absolutely recommend this place and will definitely go again.
