Best batter in whitby! A must for your fish n chips. We booked but you can also queue. A wide variety on the menu including champagne! I had the lobster thermador which was amazing.

One of the best Ramen! I had chicken gyoza too…! Yuuuuum! Definitely worth to check this place out! If you not sure what you want to eat just simply ask. Great customer service. I take advice regarding menu and it was fantastic!

Having recently stayed in Whitby for 4 nights we went to the Magpie Cafe on our first night. We were so pleased with our first meal that we went back for our final meal. The food we had on each occasion was stunning. The batter on the fish was so light and crisp, the best we'd ever tasted. On the second occasion I opted for the daily special of Monkfish, which again was beautifully cooked. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any fish lover.

Dropped in on Friday night as is now becoming the norm for us. The food just keeps getting better every time. Had to have the moules again as its just such a superb dish to get in a pub. Brought some friends this time and they were also amazed at how good it was for a little village pub. Fish and chips, steak, moules, the brownie, all excellent thanks.

Had a lovely evening out on Saturday 11th topped off with a meal at the Aegean. The food was absolutely delicious (we had the grilled halloumi, Cypriot sausage, mixed souvlaki and Greek salad) and the decor, atmosphere and music coupled with the Mythos lagers really made it feel like we were actually on holiday in Cyprus. If only we had picked a warmer night, it would have been lovely to sit out on the terrace!

On our trip to Whitby we were looking for some lovely seafood to try. Magpies was recommended in a travel book I had. I am so glad we tried it out. The food was amazing. So fresh and delicious. Only just had room for a pudding. White chocolate bread and butter pudding.... delicious!

Superb food and the quality of the meat was top notch. Great scran and environment.

Everything spot on as usual, a trip to Whitby without at least one trip to the Magpie

Really great food and service. Catered for 6 hungry golfers with the 2 superb menus - Italian and Greek - not seen that before. Could not have done enough for us and would really recommend. Great value also

Been on two occasions now both time choosing the fish Pie while others in our party choose various meals, all meals were lovely and no complaints at all will definitely visit again.

Service was great, the waitress was very friendly and chatty. Food was lovely and the portions were very large which were a bit off putting

Simple really, absolutely fantastic, great food, friendly staff, first time we have been since moving they moved to Newland Ave and still amazing.

We had a wonderful meal at the Magpie. Starters were all lovely, particularly the whitebait. The fish and chips and mussels were also delicious and the traditional puddings were just a joy. Lovely service and great value for money.

As ever this remains my favourite all time seafood restaurant. Do not be fooled by the word cafe - it is everything but. The staff are wonderful as always. I went a little left field and tried the seafood paella - wow!!! Truly magnificent. See you again next time.

Had a lovely meal at The Magpie Whitby, the restaurant covered all the Government guidelines and kept customers safe

We had a wonderful family get together at The Magpie. Every aspect of the experience was excellent, the online booking site, the service, the food - all good, nothing disappointed, and the cost was reasonable. They accommodated our baby's pram also. We would definitely go back.
