Absolutely incredible food for great prices and the staff were all amazing, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend this restaurant and I can’t wait to go back here!

We’ve been visiting Whitby, and dining at Magpie’s Cafe for years and the quality of the food and the service has always been excellent. The fish is beautifully cooked and flaky, the batter light and crispy and the chips delicious. Treat yourself to a large portion of mushy peas as the perfect accompaniment to a perfect meal.

Magpie Cafe – WhitbyVisited Magpie Cafe on Tuesday, a4th September. We were staying in Scarborough and travelled up by bus because we never miss an opportunity to our 'special' venue in Whitby. Booked in for 1600 hours. It was pouring, really pouring. with rain and we almost swam round Whitby but our spitits were high as we dreamed of our 'prawn and crab' starter. As always really enjoyed, it came up to expectations. The mains were fish pie ans plaice fillet (sadly no skate available). We both enjoyed ore excellent meal no room for afters. Our reception by the staff was great and they must have been tired towards the end of a difficult day. To avoid customers standing outside in the rain they were taking bookings and arranging to call people when their table was ready. This visit could have been so difficult but the cheerfulness of the staff and the, as always, splendid food still gave us a day to remember for all the right reasons.

Fuji Hiro – Leeds City CentreHaving recently stayed in Whitby for 4 nights we went to the Magpie Cafe on our first night. We were so pleased with our first meal that we went back for our final meal. The food we had on each occasion was stunning. The batter on the fish was so light and crisp, the best we'd ever tasted. On the second occasion I opted for the daily special of Monkfish, which again was beautifully cooked. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any fish lover.

Duke Of Wellington – HarewoodHad a lovely evening out on Saturday 11th topped off with a meal at the Aegean. The food was absolutely delicious (we had the grilled halloumi, Cypriot sausage, mixed souvlaki and Greek salad) and the decor, atmosphere and music coupled with the Mythos lagers really made it feel like we were actually on holiday in Cyprus. If only we had picked a warmer night, it would have been lovely to sit out on the terrace!
The Aegean Taverna – HullOn our trip to Whitby we were looking for some lovely seafood to try. Magpies was recommended in a travel book I had. I am so glad we tried it out. The food was amazing. So fresh and delicious. Only just had room for a pudding. White chocolate bread and butter pudding.... delicious!
