Took wife & daughter for a special occasion. First time to Beatson House, hopefully not the last. Top class food and service. Try & find better!

Went there last night, food was superb custom was stupendous, not a bad thing to say about the place. Definitely recommend the weeping tiger, you wouldn't think it possible to make a humble steak taste so divine. Definitely going back soon as well as pushing it on all my friends and family. You will not be disappointed go and don't think twice!

four of us decided to try this restaurant over the bank holiday weekend, as we all go to turkey and love the food/people. Small intimate place, modern and clean in appearance. We all had the lunch special any starter with any main course for £11.95 with a couple of us having the lamb special which was £13.95 inc starter. Came piping hot - tasted lovely, me and my husband had kalamari which some times comes very chewy this was brilliant, cooked perfectly not greasy or anything. Main courses were plentiful and tasty. We had two bottles of wine and a couple of beers total Bill came to £82.00 for 4 which we thought was great. Would recommend anyone in hebden bridge to try it and we will be going back again!

Surprised no-one has mentioned this one. The best ever fish and chips are here. We tried others but always come back to this great place. You can eat in the lovely little cafe upstairs or of course take away and eat by the banks of the River Wharfe close by.

A small single bar pub in the hamlet of Ryehill, with stone floors, upholstered bench seats and a small dining area. The pub has a cosy feel about it especially when they light the log fires in the winter months. Monday is men's darts night and Tuesday is the womens and Wednesday is quiz night. I just had my food delivered literally 20 mins ago, I enjoyed the meal, and they sent mrs and the mrs free desserts, they were amazing.I i have got to be honest, I was speaking to the owner Sid, I respect him for his approach to his business and his customers. He makes sure his staff make the food the way we want it. Really good food, really good guys.

A small friendly family restaurant and bar. The food is excellent with a broad choice on the menu. You can dine in comfortable surrounding with your friends and family. Give it a try.

I had an excellent meal at the Shoulder of Mutton on Monday; the spinach accompanying the pigeon breast was deliciously steamed, the meat itself nicely marinaded and tender, and the raspberry jus was perfect. It is a small oasis set in the desert of motorway services, and I recommend it highly.

This The Pagoda in Wakefield, a Chinese Restaurant is the very best we have ever visited, the service is A1, the choice on the menu is extensive, the staff are more than attentive, the surroundings are very oriental as is the background subtle music. The whole package is extremely favourable. There is no surcharge, the food is cooked to a very good standard, the staff are friendly, polite and we feel like one of the family whenever we visit this restaurant, The Pagoda. The fish pond inside the restaurant is a nice touch too. Every time my husband and myself have been, the toilets are ALWAYS pristine clean. We have NEVER had upset stomachs after eating and drinking at this fab place. We feel like one of the family. They have a free car park just outside the place, if it is full, never fear as you can always park in Aldi car park right next to the Pagoda itself, PERFECTO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've heard of this place before, finally got the chance to go down over the weekend. The food was truly fantastic. I went with my partner, both of us ate for £45 including drinks! i would recommend ordering the tika prawns and dish of the day.The prawns were that nice i ordered some to take home!

My wife and I just enjoyed an excellent lunch at Leeds Brasserie Blanc and I am happy to be able to tell you that. The riverside setting is very pleasant being far enough off the beaten track to provide, with the help of the attractive dining room, a sense of intimacy and not too far to make it feel like a safari. We were greeted and served throughout with efficiency and friendly courtesy which never became obtrusive; A perfect blend. The food was excellent in presentation, taste and in well judged quantity which, like the service, was sufficient without being overbearing. Leeds Brasserie Blanc will definitely be on our favourites list from now on

Really great Indian restaurant - we've been going there for 15 years or more. Excellent food very friendly staff. A must if you like Indian food - try a jaflong.

i would never in my life eat from there again! Yesterday i got 2 portions of fish and chip and mushy peas,i went home and sat down and eat them,as i was getting up my throat starting burning and a few minutes later i vomited most of the food out. As the day went on i got worse. I got diarrhea followed by stomach cramps. me and my husband were so bad we ended up in hospital..and were told we had food poisoning. I would never go there again!!!

Cuckoos in Hull, I have lunch at cuckoos twice now and on both occasions it was absolutely lovely, I had a burger yesterday and it was spot on, the staff are always friendly and I will definitely make it a habit to lunch there whenever I'm in Hull. 10/10

A little gem of a restaurant that shows the best of British when it comes to food and great service. The menu suits every taste and the sticky toffee pudding is to die for! Accompanied with their own Boozy Infusion, after dinner liqueurs in Sticky toffee pudding, black forest gateaux and Jamaican ginger cake the deserts are a perfect end to a fantastic dining experience. I have used this restaurant for Corporate Hospitality as well as personally with friends and family and never been disappointed.

After going to Doncaster for the weekend, with my wife we decided to try Cactus Jacks as we love Mexican food , we read all the good reviews , so all was good, we called into the restaurant at 10pm Sunday to be told by the waitress the kitchen has just closed at ten oclock, sorry try somewhere else ! Now perhaps you might say I should of rang & booked a table maybe, but it states its open until 11pm , now when we got there at 10pm ,they only had around 6 people in so it was not exactly full was it, Does this restaurant want any of my business or not? we are a sensible mature couple who just wanted a quiet meal. so that's it..........thanks.

We have been going to Aldos since 1985 and have enjoyed every meal we have had. We have taken the children and gone with family and friends and always been made welcome. We started going when Aldo first opened and the food and atmosphere was excellent..Now his son in law runs it and everything is just as good. The only way to describe it is brilliant super and i would recommend it anyone and guarantee you will have a enjoyable evening. Long may it continue.
