Really busy, buzzing atmosphere. You'll need to book when you eat here. I had the fish and chips deal. Forget eating at the Magpie in Whitby or Harry Ramsdens - these were magnificent. Local Askrigg ale was spot on too. My wife had the vegetarian wellington which was delicious. Looking forward to eating there again this coming Sunday. The waiting on staff were magnificent, deserved medals as on the neighbouring table were some Really pretentious diners. The staff took it all in their stride. Eat here when you're in the area.

Had a fabulous meal and the service was excellent Lovely pub, would definitely recommend the pie on the lunch menu.

Always enjoy our time at Denmans, the food is good and interesting, always something a bit different. Love the ‘small plates’. So many flavours to enjoy. A friendly relaxed atmosphere without excessive noise. Quite Special. Don’t Change. Compliments to the Chef and the Staff.

Not as good a service as usual, waited for a few minutes to be seated as no one on the desk and upon leaving as no one on the desk again , waited and then eventually had to go looking for someone to take payment . Service when seated was good. I had the curry which Iv had on two previous visits and was no where near as good. Sauce was like a spicy water , no depth to it and was runny , more potatoes than chicken. Friends with me had parmo which was good.

We had a lovely meal at Tocketts Mill. Staff were helpful & friendly. I had the blackened chicken which was lovely and the rest of our party had the Parmos which they found delicious. Thank you for everything.

We just happened to go there on Halloween and the atmosphere was great, along with the welcome and the food. If we did not live 5 hours away we would go back quite often!

They offer a really varied menu with a wide choice of fish dishes. They cook fish beautifully, whichever type it is. The food is fresh and well flavoured. The service is excellent: efficient and friendly. We made our next booking before leaving.

Enjoyable evening out with my wife to celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary. Food was lovely, the service was good and the staff were excellent. I would have no hesitation in going back there again for a meal.

Excellent evening with my wife. The food was outstanding, the environment was relaxed and comfortable and the staff were great. Highly recomended and we will be going again.
