We’d read recommendations about coming here for a meal and we were certainly not left disappointed I would highly recommend you book and visit the Kings Arms

Just 2 of us for my husbands 70th birthday but the service was faultless, they looked after us like royalty! The food was delicious as always and we even won a £20 voucher off our next visit. It was a little quiet but was a Tuesday evening so didn't expect a weekend atmosphere but it was very peaceful and relaxing. Can't wait to go again, yummy!

It’s our third visit and once again we were not disappointed with either the quality of food or service. The menu for lunch has a wide choice of dishes which should suit any palate. We will be back when we visit Skipton again

I had booked this for my partner's birthday but what a disappointment. The restaurant was cold with other diners wearing thick tops. Our comment on this was just met with a smile from the waitress. His pint of beer, one he drinks regularly, tasted nothing like the way it should and he couldn't finish it. Likewise I could not finish my glass of wine, one of the more expensive on the list. The starters were fine but the signature dish fish parcel was mediocre, a small portion and overpriced. My steak was not medium rare but medium. The first 2 mouthfuls were pure gristle and the rest tough. As my partner was still hungry he finished my meal but it was not great. Unfortunately can't recommend this. Our pub meal the following night was so much better.

Went on a Monday lunchtime for a team lunch and was really impressed. The food was of great quality and really generous portions. Service was prompt and friendly. The bottle of wine we had was absolutely supebr. Wonderful and would return!

Hi 6 of us came for a meal on Friday and we were very disappointed with some meals. 2 Greek lamb meals were very overcooked, the chicken on another Greek dish was dry. The lamb fillets were extremely tough. Sauces were very tasty but spoilt by overcooked meat. The waitress was lovely and did offer to have them recooked but we didn’t have time to wait and obviously wanted to eat together.

We went to Sambuca for the first time this weekend for my son's birthday, with a party of 7. We found the menu great, with lots of choices. The food was really excellent and no one had any complaints. They even accommodated a specific meal request for my mum. We were pleasantly surprised when the bill came as we had the benefit of at least two of their offers, making the bill extremely good value for money as we had all had two courses and drinks. The atmosphere was good and the staff were great. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Definitely the best Sunday lunch platter around with the added benefit of a beautiful gluten free Yorkshire pudding and gravy. Bar area is friendly for dogs too, so thank you!
