My partner, my parents and I visited MEI MEI this week. The food was amazing! We waited quite a long time for the food to be brought out to be honest but it was worth the wait! The staff were very helpful... although at times maybe a little too efficient. Sometimes it felt as if they were waiting to pounce as soon as you put down your fork! The variety of food is good and has a great choice for vegetarians. All in all we were pleased with the restaurant. We will go again and will recommend friends and family.

We were visiting Liverpool recently staying at the Liner Hotel, who recommended the Maharajah; we are a group of Maritime singers from Bristol `The Harry Browns` this restaurant is superb. We were excellently looked after, the menu and food was clearly explained to us in a professional manner with knowledge, quality of food was outstanding, we can say this with qualification as we have eaten curries in many parts of the world, but this restaurant? food is the best. Thank you for your hospitality, outstanding food and service, The Harry Browns Of Bristol.

I went on Wednesday night fantastic I had for starters blackpudding with lettuce unusual but delicious then the lamb on a bed of mash potatoes in a lovely sauce and a bottle of white wine my partner went for salmon wrapped in asparagus and rib-eye steak in a stilton sauce with new and boiled potatoes plenty of vegetables; broccoli, carrots, cauliflower and red cabbage which we shared delicious he opted for a bottle of red wine we had a lovely night. We couldn? believe how busy it was but then we knew why a two course meal for 2, 2 bottles of wine £30 EXCELLENT and that night Liverpool beat PSV 2-0 so the nightlife was a good atmosphere and very busy like a Saturday night we enjoyed and told friends and we will be going back.

The food was simply superb. I highly recommend the venison which was out of this world. The service was also excellent.

Went for New Years Eve just gone and it was fabulous. Pre-booked a table and had our own waiter service - didn't even have to get up out of your seat and you can imagine how big the queues at the bar were! Rose Petals fell down at 12, it was a fabulous atmosphere and would definitely recommend it.

This place is so good my boyfriend and I have been 3 times in the last month! Portions are very big, but get a starter anyway just for the taste - you can always take your leftovers home in a Tupperware box. (you can ask without embarrassment) Service was great also and with a big smile too. No pretence or pomp just a very nice place to be. 10 out 10.

I have visited La Vina with my family and friends and have taken business clients here from all over the UK and from around the World. My most recent visit was 2 weeks ago and I cant praise this place enough. Liverpool has come a long way and what I like most of all is competition and difference. La Vina always delivers in every detail it has a truly Spanish feel however you don? have to wait till "Manyana" the service is excellent.

I recently entertained clients at Crompton? Restaurant @ The Adelphi, Liverpool. In doing so I feel I have found a "Hidden Gem" in Liverpool? dining experience. There is both A La Carte and Table d'Hote Menu available. My guests decided to opt for the Table d'Hote 3 Course Menu and at £16.95 per person this was exceptional value for money. Service was "slick" and welcoming and we had the chance to discuss our business arrangements in complete privacy. After speaking with the Manager there, John O?rien explained that Crompton? was in his eyes a local establishment just waiting to be explored. On my insistence we managed to speak with the Head Chef, David Jackson. He is a young man with some different and exciting ideas of ?he Dining Experience". Well recommended and a place more locals should enjoy

This is the real deal, a great trattoria atmosphere in the authentic Italian style. It was packed when I visited, and therefore very noisy. But that apart, I could have been in Bologna or Rome. My family loved it too. Highly recommended. Damn, now everyone will go!

As a visitor to Liverpool, I went here on a recommendation and enjoyed an excellent evening (taking advantage of the Tuesday special, ?excellent value). Service was friendly and prompt but not intrusive. Food was nicely presented and cooked as I like it. The house wine was very acceptable. Thank you

Talk about serendipity!! Failing to get a table at our favourite places on a night out we came across this North African/South Med inspired eatery quite by chance on our way to The Academy. Not normally walking down Mount Pleasant, we'd always missed its charms. All I can say is we can't wait to go back. Food was great, huge portions and a great atmosphere. And cheap. We were the oldest in there by far (at the ripe old age of 50) and it took me right back to my own student days. Wonderful!!!

I agree with the previous writer. It seems to me that this is the cleanest, friendly Greek restaurant in town. The food is very good and I regard this place as a very 'safe bet'

We were made to feel extremely welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed the banquet option - plenty of variation and number of courses. And the complimentary ouzo was a lovely addition. All the facilities were spotlessly clean and added to the whole eating experience. Seek this place out (the roads leading to it may mislead you) and you won't regret it. 9/10 for us.

I love this place but there are issues with the no smoking area. The signs need to be more noticeable and the staff need to be more vigilant, I was abused for asking someone to stop smoking in the NON SMOKING area!!! Apart from that FAB!
