Whats Cooking – Liverpool City CentreStuffed We had the sharer to start and it was fab a little bit of everting. I especially likes the salt and chilli wings. Then we had a piggy smalls burger and the Brie burger with fries. We ate the lot and were stuffed. We washed it down with an iced tea and a pint of Malaga larger. Can’t wait to go back.
Whats Cooking – Liverpool City CentreLovely traditional Liverpool pub - friendly and good value. Scouse fantastic, pizzas fresh - all served with a smile offering friendly and efficient service. We were late due to the crappy trains and they accommodated our delay. Couldn't recommend it enough
Ma Egerton’s Stage Door – Liverpool City CentreGreat place
Dough Bar – Liverpool City CentreGood burgers and decent service, only thing I didn’t like was the paper the burgers were served on. They got wet quickly with the sauce.
Whats Cooking – Liverpool City CentreFood was beautiful. Service excellent. Highly recommend.
Ying Wah Restaurant – WooltonReally good tasting food. Have been finding it difficult to find restaurants that actually cook well. Master McG is a great find. Pretty restaurant, clean and good service. Autistic guest found noise a little difficult. Hard floors, no tablecloth, no soft furnishings don't lend to a peaceful ambience, but that is fashion. Well done all for a lovely meal.
Master McGraths – SouthportVisit Southport twice a year from SW1 London & Always come to Roberto’s sometimes every night that we’re here. The chicken Caesar salad is to die for along with the pizzas , bolognaise, the prawns starters & ribs. Can’t wait to try more next time! Wish we had one in london!

My daughter was wished happy birthday by all staff members, given a free glass of prosecco and after dinner staff brought over a free dessert plate with candles :) can't thank the staff enough for making her day just that extra special, can't wait to come back
Dough Bar – Liverpool City CentreFood was spot on. One thing I didn’t appreciate was being pester for a tip by the waiter service.
Sing Faye Chinese Restaurant – St.HelensMy first visit, it won’t be my last. Fantastic food. Wonderful atmosphere, very friendly staff.
Christakis Aigburth – AigburthMy partner and I had Christmas lunch here on 8 December 2023. We both opted for Pate and turkey, he finished with a brownie and I had christmas put with brandy sauce. The pate was served with a spiced apple chutney and fingers of white toast garnished with rocket. We found the Pate to be a little lacking in flavour, but the trimmings were all very good. The main course was thinly sliced turkey crown, accompanied by 3 roast potatoes, 6 sprouts, 2 thin slices of roast carrots and a small piece of roast parsnip, accompanied by a 'red wine jus', pigs in blankets and stuffing. I would have liked to have seen a few more veggies but can't complain at the portion of turkey we received, although I'm not convinced it had been sliced from an actual turkey crown on that day. The sole pig in a blanket was a little underdone and tasted of frankfurter rather than pork sausage, and i found the gravy very bland but I suppose I'm nit picking really. The main course was served piping hot, which is a real bonus when an establishment is catering for numbers. On to the sweets. The Christmas pud is an individual one served with warm brandy sauce, and my partner's brownie was served with ice cream. All in all, the meal was pleasant enough, and reasonable value for money, but I wouldn't choose Houghwood above other establishments in the area. I think maybe we were spoiled by being regulars when Houghwood first opened and was beyond excellent. We abandoned ship when they stopped silver service, and whilst the staff were efficient and pleasant, we probably will try somewhere else next year. To end on a positive, we founds drinks to be very competitively priced.
Houghwood Spikes Bar and Restaurant – St.HelensFood was amazing as always. Service was great could not fault the staff.
