Food was great. Service great too, We were a table of 7 so would have been nice to sit a bit longer and chat, service was great but did feel rushed - that is my only complaint really as for what we paid just felt we should have been able to sit a while longer and no expectation set on a time limit when I booked. Overall, would come back again and enjoyed it

Our 2nd visit to Souvla on a trip to Liverpool and again the food and service was excellent. Worth the slight walk out of town for the quality food and drinks and great service, even though we were running late for our booking they accommodated us with no issues.

As always what's cooking never lets you down from fabulous food wonderful staff and a great manager I just wish there was a what's cooking in Heswall!!!!!

Nice pub food was awful had steak and ale pie Chips were dry and hard pie was disgusting not sure what it was Not very impressed at all not sure what’s happened to the pud just not good Waited an hour for food to arrive just poor

We were a table of 5. 2ordered the meze, 3ordered a main and side. The meze food just kept coming! Every single dish was absolutely delicious and the generosity of portions was amazing. We didn’t realise that the people who ordered the main courses would have to wait so long though, maybe this could have been better communicated. From a value for money point of view the meze was outstanding, however the main meals where you need to order a side separately actually worked out quite expensive compared. Would I return, absolutely! I’ve already recommended you to several people.

We visited on Tuesday 7th July at tea time. We asked to sit outside and we're shown to lovely table. Lovely staff, good choice of drinks, we had a couple of bottles of vine which was served quickly with some lemonade. Chose a good few different dishes but we weren't starving so didn't go for the Meze! The bread was beautiful, lovely humous, juicy chicken souvlaki, feta salad, meatballs and rosemary potatoes. We weren't rushed, took our time and enjoyed the wine and atmosphere. Everyone was so friendly. We didn't have dessert this time but will go all in next visit! It cost £90 for three adults inc drinks. Great value.

Thought it was a bit expensive for what you get ,you have to pay extra,for rice and salad. We had 2 vegetarians , they had nothing on main meal menu for them . They both wanted halloumi kebabs,the waitress said , they don't do them ,and order off tapas menu,. Food was nice ,but salad or rice should be included in price .

Ma Egertons was the perfect choice for a pre-theatre meal to kick off my mum’s 85th birthday celebrations. Located right behind the Empire Theatre, this historic Liverpool pub is bursting with theatrical character, vintage charm, and nostalgic warmth. The absolute highlight was their spectacular, authentic bowl of traditional Scouse. It is a rich, deeply savoury stew served with proper crusty bread and pickled red cabbage at a great price. My mum absolutely loves it and declares it the best in Liverpool—her seal of approval is not easily won! The staff are all exceptionally friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm-hearted. If you want an authentic taste of Liverpool, brilliant comfort food, and a warm welcome before a show, this legendary pub is an absolute must-visit. We will 100% be back!

We were there to celebrate our anniversary, but we didn’t really like the atmosphere, we were put on a table for two ( had to move (air conditioning ) only moved to next table up the tables were too close together, our meal came quite quickly but they brought out our main course but we hadn’t finished our mazes

Food was very nice, quite a small menu which I liked. Had the fried courgette starter which was delicious and the mixed kebab. My only fault was that the main courses didn’t come with a side, I felt £16.50 was more than enough to allow for some fries/salad/pita to be served alongside as part of the price, instead of having to pay an additional £5 for some new potatoes. Food was tasty and hot. Staff were great.

1st time we visited, restaurant was full with a fabulous atmosphere. Staff where very attentive, made sure we had drinks before taking our food order. The owner introduced himself to us which was lovely and asked on numerous occasions if all was ok. The best part was the food, it was absolutely Gorgeous couldn't fault anything. Definitely recommend you visited you wont be disappointed. Will for sure return some time soon.
