Hands down my favourite restaurant in Liverpool, we’re in there all the time! Amazing food, really cool decor and great atmosphere and music!
Clockworks – Liverpool City CentreWe got seated fast as we had a booking. The pizza was PHENOMENAL but the pulled pork fries were really dry. The drinks were amazing for the price they were. Only downside to this place is the people that worked there wore their own clothes so I didn’t know who were the employees. Also, it was very disorganised.
Dough Bar – Liverpool City CentreExcellent service and welcome despite Covid restrictions. Food delicious. Fantastic location too. Thank you for a lovely evening
Pickled Walnut – West KirbyWe went to the R Bar for Afternoon Tea as part of our Anniversary break away in Liverpool. The food & service were amazing. Nuno looked after us from the moment we walked through the door until we left. Nothing was any trouble for him. The additional cakes with the Happy Anniversary message was a fantastic addition. Thank you x

Opa Opa – Liverpool City CentreBooked a table for my daughter and son in law who were visiting the area They really enjoyed their meals and commented on how friendly the staff are They had a lovely evening
Pickled Walnut – West KirbyFood and drinks were very good. Great choice of food and drinks available at a good price. Our kids loved the retro gaming choices.
Dough Bar – Liverpool City CentreWe booked in for one of Rishi's discount dinners, our first family night out since the world ended. It was all a bit chaotic, though the staff were lovely and attentive. There was a bit of a backlog and it took well over 45 minutes for the starters to arrive. We had the salmon fishcakes and they were lovely. Quite dense and filling with the poached egg, but a real treat. My wife had the sea bass, which she said was nice and my son really enjoyed his burger. I had the buttermilk chicken and patatas bravas. The potatoes were lovely and flavoursome, but the chicken was ok in parts, but dry and overcooked in others. The buttermilk coating was also blackened and harder than I expected. TBF, I've not had it before so I wasn't sure if this was the norm, but it ws hard work at times. I was tempted to send it back but the staff looked really under pressure with a constant stream of people at the door, and I didn't want to delay things further. This brings me on to my final point regarding covid precautions. Forgive me if I missed something, but there was no obvious hand sanitiser that I could see, and we were not made aware of any. I would have thought that this would be the first thing to ask people to do upon entering. The staff were not wearing any masks, gloves or visors to prevent possible transmission (such as in pubs, hairdressers, shops and the like) and on the main floor where we sat, people were walking by well within the 2 metre distancing I expected. There were also kids running around and people making their way to and from the toilet past our table. At any other time, this would not bother me, but this is not any other time. To be balanced, we have not been to a restaurant or cafe since the lockdown eased so I don't know if this is how it is now, so I might be off beam here. However, given my job and the need to stay healthy, I am perhaps being a bit hyper-vigilant. We did enjoy our evening out, and once things get back to normal we might well go back. Last night made me a bit uncomfortable though, so I might wait a while.
Pickled Walnut – West KirbyDelicious meal. fabulous veggie moussaka, in fact everything was so tasty. the extensive 2 course early evening menu is fantastic value at £9.99 . lovely staff and nice, cool, air conditioned restaurant (very welcome in the summer heat). this was our first visit and we will definitely be back! highly recommended.
Opa Opa – Liverpool City CentreFood was so good! Compliments to the staff in the kitchen! Cocktails where amazing and to top it off the staff where great, friendly and accommodating. I would 100% reccomend to people and I will definitely attend again.

Pickled Walnut – West KirbyWe booked a table for 12 o’clock, got there about 11:50 and was told to sit in the beer garden and wait until they opened, which was fine we were early. The beer garden however was filthy. All of the glasses from the night before still on all the tables, full ash trays, lemons and crisp packets on the floor it was just a mess. 12 o’clock someone came out with a brush and started to brush up, asking us to pass him the rubbish from under our table! Still no one came to seat us or acknowledge that we had a table booked. Another lady was sat waiting too and she was just as annoyed as us. In these circumstances I’m sorry but the mess from the night before should be cleaned straight away. It’s not acceptable to turn up to your booking and sit in last nights mess, so obviously no cleaning had been done! We got up and left at about 10 past 12 and certainly will not be going back!
Dovedale Towers – Mossley HillLovely food at a lovely restaurant staff very friendly and helpful would definitely recommend and will be returning
Ayuthaya – CrosbyThis was my first time going to the Dovedale towers and I certainly won’t be going back. The place itself is nice, clean and modern... however the food and waiting staff were diabolical. Took over 40mins to get the drinks we ordered (one pint and a bottle of cider). While I appreciate everyone is getting used to the new way of eating out post corona virus, there was hardly anyone sat inside, so the place wasn’t full, even with social distancing I don’t see how it could have taken so long. We ordered food which took over 2 hours to come. The waitress was unbelievably rude when we asked how long our food would be after 90 minutes,. Then when then food came it wasn’t what we ordered. The waitress stood there repeating what was in the box over and over again as if we couldn’t see what she had brought us. However that doesn’t change the fact it wasn’t what we ordered. Mistakes happen but she snatched it back and stormed back to the kitchen as if we were lying, she returned 10 mins later with the food we ordered. However it was burnt, cold and as dry as the Sahara. The food o had ordered had lost all warmth and was also as dry as anything mu the time we both had our meals so we ended up eating a few chips, thowing it in the bin and going home. I could of forgiven the food and drinks taking an age if the waitress was polite, I understand she was busy but at the end of the day her attitude was unacceptable. Won’t be going back, would rather eat a burger from maccies.
Dovedale Towers – Mossley HillFood was fabulous, staff were brilliant and very friendly Lovely location and great atmosphere Great portion Size which gave brill value for money Will defo come again
