This restaurant was recommended to us and did not disappoint. It has a nice atmosphere and the food was excellent. I started with sweet potato fishcakes and my husband had chicken wings with hot sauce. The fishcakes were very light and full of flavour and the chicken tasted lovely. My main was crispy seabream on a salad of warm new potatoes and my husband had the lamb and feta burger. We were both pleased with our mains, they came promptly and were both beautifully cooked. Service was good and we had a great evening. There was even live music which we enjoyed. Will definitely return.

Food is outstanding. Good service, very friendly. The only Chinese restaurant I would use in this area.

My husband and I went to the dean on Friday 27th sep 19. We had the lunchtime menu which was very reasonably priced. We had the catch of the day which was Hake and it was mouth watering, it tasted amazing then I had salted caramel cheesecake which came deconstructed and hubby had Passion fruit tart. Absolutely gorgeous. The staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us, our server was Hannah and she was lovely. Well recommended and we will definitely be back very soon. We’re also booking for Xmas day lunch

Booked a meal for my wife’s birthday, we were really looking forward to it after reading some of the great reviews. We were really disappointed; the service was pretty good, but the food certainly was not. We thought it was really overpriced and both of us left there feeling really deflated. The singer was very good, but the primary function is a restaurant not a night club. Really couldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Booked a table for 20 people on a Saturday for my little girls birthday and on the day it turned out to be super sunny and most of children wanted to play outside on the play area, the staff were super helpful and let us swap our big table from inside to sitting outside. This was perfect as we could watch the children play and not have to run in and out. Everybody's food was super nice, the chicken pasta alfredo was had by at least 3 and all loved it. Thanks so much to all the staff they were all great. I have visited here numerous times before but only with a few of us but considering the amount of people we had they were super helpful. cheers x

Fantastic food. Excellent service even though they were very busy

We went for afternoon tea for my mums birthday it was the first time I had been it was lovely I was very impressed with the decor and the food was lovely. I will definitely be going back again.

Have visited the Cookhouse a number of times since it opened and have not had any problems before. Went for lunch on Sunday 16/09/19 with my wife, two grandchildren, and a friend. My friend ordered gammon which was (in his words 'very chewy') On the positive side the staff apologised and exchanged it for steak which he enjoyed. Secondly we have never had problems with the children's meals before but somehow the chef now seems to think he is in a chippy as the chips came with a heavy dose of salt (or seasoning as the helpful waitress informed us) so much that my youngest did not wish to eat his. We were informed that we could ask for the seasoning to be omitted but why cover the chips in salt in the first place especially on a child's meal? Apart from excessive salt being unhealthy there are condiments on the table for those who wish to season their chips. My grandchildren also had problems in the play area as one older child took to throwing stones - a member of staff did go and speak to him but his behaviour and lack of parental supervision spoilt the visit for them also. Again, on the positive side, the staff were sympathetic and offered to give them some free ice cream. Now having to give some thought as to whether it will be worth visiting again.

It was are first time here we loved it would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Second visit. Fantastic dining experience. Even better than last time with the new menu. The ambience, staff and food make this a top class restaurant. The food was tasty and imaginative. The staff know the wine list really well and make tailored recommendations. They are friendly, relaxed but professional and efficient. The piano player and singer Melissa really enhanced the whole experience.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and breakfast in the Brasserie . The meals were cooked to perfection and presented well. The staff were very attentive and pleasant. We will definitely stay for more than one night next time we visit Liverpool.

I visited The Dean for Sunday lunch and a catch up with a friend visiting the area. We loved every second of our visit. I’m a bit of a margarita expert having sampled many! The one at the Dean was excellent just the ride blend of sharp and sweet. The food was amazing as was the friendly, attentive staff. The actual restaurant is beautiful, lots of care and attention to detail and it shows! Amazing that a place of this quality is on our doorstep. I will definitely be back. My husband is going to be tempted by the fantastic Whisky cupboard!

We visited Saturday 7/9/19 a party of 10 people for a work colleagues 60th birthday. I had paid a £25 deposit to reserve a table as we had all chosen to eat here. I was very disappointed with my meal of Pasta Penne with additional chicken The 4 cheese sauce it was advertised as was like runny milk and tasteless lots of Button mushrooms added approximately 4 small slices of chicken and pasta that looked like it was added to the plate Ate 2 mouthfuls of this bitterly disappointing and tasteless!! Worst pasta meal ever! 3 of our party chose black pudding starters said tough as anything unable to cut into this Not fresh whatsoever possibly reheated? Overall the fish and chips looked the best and 3 people really enjoyed theirs Thank goodness.

Enjoyed the food thoroughly ,service was excellent will go again soon.
