It was a cold evening and the parsnip soup was just what was needed to start with. Piping hot and delicious. three of the four of us decided to have the roast turkey with all the trimmings; another good choice as all the trimmings were there not just one or two. The other person in our party had a steak and likes it well done which was done to perfection. The atmosphere was lovely with friendly helpful staff who were there when we needed them but not in your face and interrupting your meal. We found this restaurant to be comparable with others of the same standard and would recommend it to all who are in the area.

Our first visit here, for a sunday roast, pub was busy which is always a good sign, atmosphere was really welcoming and friendly, and though almost every table was full the staff were excellent and attentive, they took the orders and helped with the menus and drinks, and the food (starters and main) were served with no waiting, but didn't feel rushed at all, it was a lovely relaxing meal and was delicious, with a great choice at really excellent prices. Its' a gem and will will be back (in fact we are, just three days later as we enjoyed it so much we decided to re treat ourselves and try other items on the menu).

This little gem is equidistant between us and some good friends from Sheffield so we always come here for our catch ups. We met up yesterday and had another fabulous meal. The spicy parsnip soup was delicious, as was my salmon on a bed of rice. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. There is a lovely ambience in the Rising Moon and the team are great. Always good service and they are attentive but not intrusive. I would really recommend you try the Rising Moon, you'll definitely enjoy it!!

Food and atmosphere were absolutely lovely, service a bit slow but they were busy. The staff were friendly and having fun with Christmas parties around us. Really enjoyed my visit and would definitely come back! Thank you x

Honestly amazing... stunning food

Nothing is ever too much trouble! One of the new dishes wasn’t going on until the evening menu, but the chef said no problem and did an amazing fish dish for two of our party! Service is always spot on, very relaxed and chilled place ❤️

Been wanting to come for a while and booked to take my mum Oh how lovely it is in side felt like I was back in time or alice in wonderland Lovely staff so welcoming and beautiful light lunch of beef sandwiches and a massive tea for two !! Thank you can’t wait to come again

The place was very welcoming and cosy. The staff couldn't do enough for you and the food was good. If I was being picky, my penne mafiosa wasn't as hot as it could be, and there didn't seem to be as much pasta in the dish as the canneloni in my companion's dish. She said the canneloni was delicious, but needed more spinach to offset all the meat. However, they both tasted beautiful, and both the garlic bread and dressing on the salad were lovely - especially the little green olives. I could have eaten those all day.

We visited twice whilst staying in the area. The food and drinks were amazing, as was the service. Really friendly and helpful staff. We will be back in the future hopefully!
