This is my favourite restaurant, and the best chinese restaurant I have ever been to. The food is lovely and the owner Moi and her staff make you feel so welcome and looked after. I can't help but go back, again and again.

Chung Ying – SalfordFriendly staff and superb food. I have eaten in the restaurant and also had a takeaway meal and highly recommend this restaurant. This in my opinion is a better choice than some Rusholme restaurants. I highly recommend the Special Biryani or Garlic Chicken Chilli Masala.
Asian Fusion – ChorltonI visited Nam Ploy on Valentines Day with my girlfriend after reading all these fantastic reviews. Both of us have travelled around Thailand before, and we're always on the lookout for authentic Thai cuisine. On the night they were of course very busy, and unfortunately the service was intermittent (however our waitress was lovely), and the food varied. Although some of the food was quite cold, it tasted nice, and on a different day I felt I would've been a lot happier. But our real issue was with the "club room" downstairs which had two or three people in it and didn't really justify the distracting bass we could hear upstairs. If Nam Ploy read this, I seriously suggest you rethink that room. Especially when it seems to encourage girls taking drugs in the toilets nearby. Don't get me wrong, if I was in a club I wouldn't care less, but in a restaurant...!
Nam Ploy – Boltonwas not really enjoyable in my opinion, The "Special" left alot to be desired and was not worth the asking price of £18. (it arrived cold and tasted awful) My overall findings of casa nostra were that they were more focused on selling take away pizza's than the well being of their table diners, and this shows in the quality of food. My advice would be to make the extra 10 minute journey to La Scala just up the road were the food is freshly made by authentic Italian chefs.
Casa Nostra – WesthoughtonA very, very disappointing dining experience. My wife and I dine out frequently and we have circumvented a number of local indian restaurants. This place seriously let themselves down. they served up salty food and when this point was brought to the attention of the waiting staff / chef we were told 'the chef said you were having a laugh !!!'. The manager failed to address the situation. If you want to take my advice... unless you like salty food and poor customer service you'll be best off avoiding this place
Cinnamon Indian Cuisine – WiganMogul has to be my find of this year. The exterior looks like an old brick Sunday school. Go through the doors and you're in another world: simple, serene, sophisticated. A high-ceilinged blend of subdued shades of grey with clever lighting and good modern furniture. And the unusually handsome waiters could pass for Bollywood movie stars. The food is refreshingly well-cooked and is noticeably free of that unpleasant gleam of a film of cooking fat. I started with meat samosas which were the best I have tasted since the two brothers, who sold little else, left Wilmslow Road in Rusholme all those years ago. A lamb jalfrezi was excellent and I also dipped into my companion's vegetable dopiaza which was just as good. With two jugs of mango lassi and soft drinks, the bill for the two of us came to under £33. Moghul beats anything on the Curry Mile and easily outstrips the modern Indian restaurants in the city centre.
Mogul – Whitefieldvery disappointed food suspected partly processed e.g tasted and looked like packet mash with mustard never had liquid mash before. Yorkshire puds sent back burnt. veg portion meagre for 7 people. soup like watered down packet tasteless and no body to it.overpriced for such poor quality spoilt family day out.
The Waggon At Birtle – Burygo to the red robin much better!!! we were disgusted with the service and meal quality
Charnley Arms – WiganWagamama at Spinningfields is just so good!! Always great value for a brilliant meal that is tasty and satisfying. Must visit at least once a week, don't like going anywhere else.
Wagamama – SpinningfieldsService was good, though waitress had an uncanny knack of shouting and being very giddy! But she was working on her own!! Food was quite poor considering the price, small portions, you had to pay extra for veg or salad so it worked out quite expensive for what you got. Also - we were told that many things on the menu were sold-out - Fish, steak, wine!! It was only 7pm on a Saturday night!! Problems with the stock-control there! The decor was lovely - but they need to sort out the problems above before we would return.
Wiggin Tree – WiganThe food at Casa Belmondo is probably one of the best italian meals I've had in a long time, everything was cooked to perfection, and was reasonably priced, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone with a love of italian cuisine.
Casa Belmondo – RoytonMy husband and i have been loving all that the Bellavista has to offer for the past 14 years, the food is wonderful the service is first class, nothing is too much trouble and the surrounding area is beautiful, especially sat on the terrace after a meal in summer with a large glass of wine enjoying the panoramic views .
Bellavista – RochdaleUnfortunatly last night's meal for my mother's 70th birthday was a logistical disaster (Saturday 21 Feb 2009 @ 8pm. upstairs). The greeting by the Owner (Manager?) at the front door, preceded by another ladies family, (Joyce? and also there for a birthday party) was an initial good sign of a good night to come, such as we have experienced here in the past, hence our choice for Mum's 70th) but from arriving upstairs , things became progressivley worse, made all the more obvious by the Owner/Managers whole hearted devotion to the other party and diners in the upstairs restaurant.No- one bothered to show us to our table for 6, We ordered 6 drinks prior to ordering, which were then promptly forgotten until reminded despite an apology, a decanter of water took 20 mins to arrive, soup was already slopped into bowls, before a tureen arrived, duck was already shredded, whilst the other party had theirs done in a very demonstrative style, further drinks took forever to arrive.... and on and on. The final insult being the lack of serving of coffee whilst other people nearby were vastly entertained by the fella in charge with countless drinks/coffee/water and ultimately flaming zambukas, whilst we were ignored even coffee After 20 mins of this with taxi's due , we paid the bill and left, feeling extremely dissatisfied and unhappy. What should have been, and was anticipated, as a really good time was ruined by the utter indifference of the senior staff,. The Chinese waitress tried her best and apologised, but the young, inexperienced girl behind the upstairs bar was given no help, despite obviously struggling to cope with the demand and also at the beck and call of her boss. who seemed to be calling all the shots. Our parting glances were of him enjoying a pint of lager and a jolly good laugh with the rest of his customer/mates. We spent almost £180 and had a dismal experience and will never return. The place, despite it's evident popularity(or perhaps because of it) has become too complacent and lacks the urgency and vibrancy of a really good restaurant (ladies had no soap, gents loo mucky, chipped paintwork etc
Choy Hing Village – Sale(22 Feb 09) Can't believe there hasn't been a review for this restaurant since 2005! We visited Blacksticks (Monton) on a Sunday afternoon, first impressions being.. good atmosphere, very busy but in no way chaotic. The staff were attentive, excellent food, good value for money Sunday lunch menu which also doubles up as the Early Bird menu (£13 2 courses, £16 3 courses). The chicken liver parfait was excellent so was the cod loin topped with welsh rarebit. We will definitely be returning soon to road test the "A la Carte".
Blacksticks Restaurant – EcclesGrandmother's beef says it all, food prepared with love and care without any junk. Don't be influenced with the dross somes places give away to attract customers, Corriander makes honest and very tasty food that I compare all others to - they normally fail.
Coriander – ChorltonTop drawer modern English cooking, using North West's finest produce. ditch the chains this is the sort place I want! Isinglass you could push the boat out even further for some customers and try some of the real old English favourites, and more offal please!!!!
Isinglass – UrmstonExcellent, you will not regret it. None of this "microwave" rubbish that you get at a lot of places. Cannot rate any higher!. Nick, Royton.
The Black Ladd – OldhamMe and Khan are best mates after my many years of sincere loyalty. The service is tremendous, its like a second home. You can even go in your slippers and not feel out of place. The food is mouth watering and never fails to hit the spot.
