Visited this restaurant a few time recently and been very disappointed by the standard of the food compared to the price. On our last visit a main course Greek salad consisted of three tomatoes sliced in half, some cucumber, a hand full of olives and three pieces of feta cheese - not impressive for £10! When we complained they took it away threw some more tomatoes and cucumber on the plate and returned - not the service I expect! They have a different "deal" every day to try to attract diners but unless they get the quality right it will never be value for money. You would be better to spend a few pounds more and walk around the corner to the Bubble Room - you wont regret it!

Do I need to add more? Every recommendation has been glowing and I can only echo this. Having stopped in last week after missing a film, we discovered this is the best tasting Japanese restaurant in Manchester, bar none! Friendly, professional service, excellent chefs and a simple setting to dine on the freshest sashimi and sushi, savour Okonomi-yaki (Japanese pancake) and try green tea ice cream! Fabulous! We have eaten there 3 times in the last 4 days and there'll be more to come! 5 stars

A visit here is well worth while and the queue reflects why its so popular.. This fish and chips shop is always clean and tidy, staff are fast and friendly, this is a real hit with the locals.. The parking is limited to across the road. The food is good value for money. I personally recommend, the donner meat and chips with salad and sauce. That is a real hit. I love their burgers too.

We met friends here for Sunday carvery lunch, one of whom is vegetarian. The carvery meat was beautifully cooked, the yorkshire puddings were nice and crispy and there was a good selection of fresh vegetables and a selection of three types of potato - roast, new and mash. There was no vegetarian option for the carvery but the range of vegetables and potato made for a delicious plate of food. The price of the carvery includes a dessert - one of five sweet options. I had a jam pudding, my partner ice-cream with chocolate sauce and my friends chocolate cake. We all had an enjoyable meal and the staff were really friendly. We will certainly be going back.

The Standard is by far the best Indian experience i have had in Manchester. Forget the curry mile, this is the place to be! My mate took me one night, and that was it! i would never go any where else! I always get the same chicken nag! beautiful. The staff are very friendly and its a joy to go there. I very rarely give out compliments where food is concerned. This place is a must! trust me. Lads you do a great job! Tony and nick!!

A week after dining in little Yang Sing we tasted its bigger brother ,the service,price and the quality were similarly,v good.Not as busy as I would have imagined,sat night ,didnt have to book,70 quidish for 4, starters soup main courses,a couple of celebs in.recommended.

shahenshah restaurant 2009, i often eat at the shahenshah restaurant with my friends and family, there is a waiter who wears all black and has got a dark complexion who is always blowing his nose infront of customers while they are eating!not very hygienic with the swine flu pandemic around! the card payment machine seems to be always broken when he is around!very unfriendly and rude guy! other than that food is good and the other staff are brilliant

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! This has to be THE best Bangladeshi/Indian cuisine in South Manchester. The vegetarian dishes in particular are deliciously inventive (my favourite is Village Style Vegetable - although I suggest you ask for 'medium' as the 'hot' does tend to detract from the taste!). The staff are extremely helpful and courteous and very willing to adapt dishes to suit individual tastes. Once tasted you won't want curry from anywhere else!

First time customers, will definitely go back again. The service was great, food was brilliant and the chocolate cake was to die for!!! :)

shahenshah restaurant 2009. i have been eating at shahenshah for quite a while, there is a waiter who wears all black and has got a dark complexion, he is always on the phone and is always blowing his nose in front of customers. this is not hygienic when the swine flu epidemic is around! he is very rude while taking orders and he always asks for cash money not card payments! i have a feeling he keeps some of the cash! other than that food is great!

we came here last Friday the 24th July! it was fantastic ,the food was delicious and the staff were helpful and friendly .will definitely be coming again .

4 of us Went to madisons on saturday, The waiters understand little english, they have no waiter experience bumping into you at tables , grabing plates from all angles. Chef burns food and they still serve it to you. Limited drinks available. One plate of veg with 1 brocolli 1 cauliflour & carrots to share between 2 people. Rasberry pavalova tastes cheap & came mushed up. Quiet expensive will not be recommending or visiting again.

For anyone that has not been to Andiamo's in the last 18 months, you need to go again to see the fantastic extension that has more than doubled the size of the restaurant.The food is still fabulous,the waiters still a bit dizzy,but still the best restaurant in the area.Now that Casa Nostra is under new ownership and La Scala have brought out their new menu with all of their prices reduced,Andiamos will have to watch out.Still charging Manchester city centre prices.

Went to little yang sing Saturday night,the place was hammered but we got in without booking,an excellent meal,my wife stated 'the best chinese she had for a long time',50 quid for 3 soup,shared platter,3 mains , rice and a pot of tea.Recommended.

Have been to this restaurant a couple of times now and have enjoyed both meal experiences. From booking the table to paying the bill the staff are excellent and and cant do enough for you and the food and atmosphere good to. Ive been with a group of 10 and a goup of 6 and the food has all arrived on time and has been delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a good night out with friends.

Recently dined here for a small family birthday of 3 people. We had poppadoms and chutneys, starters, main courses and drinks all for under £50. Decor is very modern and lovely, staff are an asset. Highly recommend this restaurant
