This old time classic has changed ownership. Trying so hard it is almost embarrassing. A try hard front of house, new menu and slight revamp, its is tedious. Staff look confused and don't go if you are in a rush or hungry

Lead Station – ChorltonGreat little place. Like a small-scale Wagamama's. I went for the Thai red curry which had loads of flavour and just the right amount of kick. Some of the seafood was a little chewy though. Meal, plus starters and drinks for four came to £36. I don't think you can get much better for the money. Highly recommended.
Fuzion Noodle Bar – Fallowfieldbrilliant, good quality food, the manager is a top geezer the chicken sheshlic and chicken kumbi taste lovely. The restaurant is smaller than the others but has quality, better then the other restaurants on the curry mile. Took my lady there she loved it
Spicy Hut – RusholmeWow! Fuel has been a fantastic discovery for me! The food is fantastic with a large choice and very reasonably priced. The veggie breakfast is gorgeous! The staff are all very friendly and helpful and the cafe is cool and laid back with art work on the wall and posters of various musical events being hosted at fuel. An all round great veggie haunt!
Fuel Cafe Bar – ChorltonI have made a comment already on this website about the Met, but I visited there again last night and had to put finger to keyboard once more. It was amazing, I went with my parents and my dad and I shared the fish pie!!!! There was enough for 3 people easier but somehow we managed to polish it off between the two of us. Maybe that was because it was so delicious!!! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and everything was perfect. The Met is now officially my favourite place in West Didders!
Metropolitan – DidsburyLovely decor and lighting. Let down by the service. The food was okay with a decent variety on the menu. The booking system seemed a little vague, but we were given a table with little fuss. overall, nice place, but service could be better.
Baci Restaurant – BoltonI ATE A NICE MEAL AT THE RESTAURANT, LOTS OF VERY NICE REAL ITALIAN STAFF HERE. FUNNY THING HAPPENED FOUR DAYS AFTER PAYING FOR THE MEAL WITH MY CREDIT CARD - I STARTED TO GET PURCHASES FOR SECONDHAND GOODS ON MY CREDIT CARD FROM .... MILAN, ITALY!!!! GO FIGURE.
La Scala – WesthoughtonThe staff are excellent here and very aware of the needs of and accommodating for people with allergies. Also very patient with demanding people like ourselves. Topped off with excellent food, it's an ideal restaurant.
Smiths Restaurant – EcclesThe superb quality has never dipped in dozens of visits. Brilliant value. Utterly reliable. But don't tell anyone else - we don't want it to be packed out!
No. 4 Dine and Wine – DidsburyOur favourite restaurant! We have enjoyed many many meals there. We love all the seafood especially the seabass, seabream and calamari. The staff is so friendly and the service excellent. The atmosphere is very relaxed. A must!
Azzurro Restaurant – DidsburyRoom is housed in a magnificent building and has an ambience to match. Pre dinner drinks were very slow to be served, however the restaurant service was very efficient and friendly! The food was good but i found there takes on Paella and Fish Pie ludicrous and pretentious. The cost was modest with the £7 main course offer. All things considered would return.
Grand Pacific restaurant and bar – Manchester City CentreBad food, and expensive
Shiraz Restaurant – NorthendenI know people who would rather perish than visit Manchester without sampling once more the legend of Abdul and his kebab creation. Anyone found the perfect technique for eating one though?
Abduls Fast Food Restaurant – Manchester City Centreas far the best restaurant i have been to amazing food and outstanding decor and the new restaurant has opened as well that is awesome never seen a restaurant like that in the heart of Manchester it is attention seeking the way it has been designed very spacious .... everyone should go there and akbars will get a good competition now
East z East – Manchester City CentreWe have been to this restaurant on numerous occasions and always found it to be enjoyable food in a beautiful part of alongshore, it was our preferred destination for a bar snack. We had paid for our meal before receiving it a fish and chips (big portion very fresh) and a steak baguette, on order they asked Q. How we would like it cooked - A. Medium rare. It came out and was distinctly grey, very greasy (it soaked the bread completely) with with an odd flavour like it had been boiled in a cool pan. We highlighted this to the staff who tried to fob us off "that, that was how it came". The manager who had been cooking hid in the kitchen and offered us half the price of the sandwich back. This place has gone backwards, old menus falling to bits with overwritten prices, the place looking tatty. I could see in the kitchen when we paid, a shelf with piles of tinned custard on. I dont know if it was the chefs day off but it is a great shame that one of the locals best kept secrets for good homely cooking is now rated POOR.
Rigbye Arms Country Inn and Bistro – WiganWhat can I say... My girlfriend and I arrived at 6pm on a Wed night and I had a table booked for 7. Thought we could have a drink first while we waited but the head waiter took us straight to a table! The wine was lovely (Pino Grigio Rose) and the starters and main meal were of excellent quality. You could tell time and effort were put into them. The waitress we had for the evening was very pleasant and kept the wine flowing for us. As the evening progressed the restaurant got very busy but was still a very pleasant atmosphere. I WILL be re attending Gio's without doubt, and it will be soon. Thanks for a lovely evening
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City Centrei have been to many Indian restaurants. this is my favourite i have tried every dish on the menu. my favourite is tandoori chicken madrass my wifes fave is garlic lamb the peshwari naan is superb
Bilash Balti House – SwintonCharming and helpful service supported good value and very tasty food. How nice to have some different flavours and textures. The atmosphere is relaxed and cosy without being crowded for a quite small restaurant. We shall return to work our way through the menu over the winter months.
