We've been here twice since it opened and have to say it makes a nice alternative to the other Italian restaurants in the area. Food is great, service is very good from the owner, relaxing ambience. I can only say keep it up cos this place has massive potential!

We had a very pleasant evening at Casa Nostra.The staff were attentive but not intrusive nothing was too much trouble as they adapted the food for my dietry needs(a gluten free veggie)I had feta salad and veg rissotto and my friend garlic bread with tomato and chillies and spaghetti carbonara it was lovely , my friend said it was the best garlic bread and carbonara she had eaten in an italian in England(best one was in Rome)I recommend this restaurant it has a pleasant atmosphere and you come away with a full tummy , and you get your moneys worth.

We eat here regularly because of the excellent quality of food and service. A fantastic restaurant!

Went for the first time June 07. It's great to have such a nice restaurant in the centre of Wigan. Food, service and surroundings are excellent. will definitely be going again.

We i.e. my family and friends have become very regular visitors to this family run restaurant in recent times. All that I can say is, try this restaurant and see/taste for yourself the excellent food. How many restaurants do we go to that couldn't care less about welcoming you, well no problem at Andiamo because you are always made to feel welcome and greeted with a smile. This a gem.

We had our wedding lunch at this beautiful little place which has lovely views. On our special day, Simon and David worked extremely hard to accommodate all our wishes and our family and friends had a marvellous day. The food was wonderful as were the wines and champagne. Whether we have something special to celebrate, we always go there.

I have never been to a more superbly splendid restaurant; the food was divine and the service simply exquisite. I shall not bore you with details, but suffice to say the interior was aesthetically pleasing and the atmosphere lively and à la mode. Having doffed my napkin, I was faced with the bill - on the word of my associates, I had expected a severe dent in my bank balance. However, I was pleasantly surprised to discover nothing short of a reasonable price... The perfect end to a perfect evening. Bon appetite.

You aint had a curry till you've been to the moon! Fantastic service, impeccable toilets means impeccable kitchen to me! Generally, one of, if not the, best curry house in south Manchester... Go and try it!

Why bother with Manchester when there's a place as good as this so close to home? Great food, good ambience and good kharma. EASY PARKING TOO!!!!! Graham& Pat

Great place to take the family for a very reasonable priced meal. You do not have to wait long for your meal and the mexican lamb is delicious! The staff are pleasant too. Would definitely recommend it to families for a meal.

We visited the High Moor in Wrightington for my birthday and both loved it. It is full of character with beamed low ceilings but also feels very cosy and romantic with lovely views across countryside. The meal was really lovely I had the lamb rump and my husband had the pork belly. Both delicious and the sticky toffee pudding is lovely! We would recommend a visit.

This was our second visit. Booked a table for 2 for 9:00 pm Saturday night. Despite being mega busy with several large groups in, we were shown to our table exactly on time. Starters were Minestrone and Plain Garlic Bread. Mains were Pizza Marinara and Baked Seabass in Light Pesto. Drinks were 2 halfs Poretti Premium. I bottle Merlot, decanted for us. Service and food were very good considering how busy it was. The bill came to £52.40 which was ok. This place has a quality feel to it, with high backed glossy leather chairs, solid wooden tables without cloths, nice floor tiling, subtle lighting and pleasant decor.

yes we couldn't agree more,the Gurkha Grill is excellent,we ate there on Saturday evening,we were well catered for by attentive staff in a lovely little cosy restaurant and served delicious Nepalese dishes at a very moderate price.We will definitely be going again.Big recommendation .

I visited this place on a Saturday afternoon. After thinking to myself where can I go for a drink where there is no noise, traffic or drunken louts and I remembered passing the sign for the Fisherman’s Retreat. Upon arrival the girls were very friendly and accommodating. After soaking up the sun in a breathtaking setting we went inside for a meal. The food was delicious. I had a ham sandwich (on homemade bread)and the bakewell tart for afters - I don’t think I ate for a week afterwards - the desserts are a definite must. Also its nice to see a place with a fabulous wine list and a bar man who knows how to make a proper Gin & Tonic. And can I just say in reply to Ray - real mince will taste tough compared to the supermarket crap/mush im sure your used to!! Keep up the good work.

Went for the early evening 5 tapas for £10.95 and we were not disappointed. The decor is fantastic and makes you feel like your on holiday. Will definitely return for Happy Hour and a full night out. Excellent

You wont find a better Asian restaurant anywhere, believe me, I've looked! The staff are gentlemen, generous and are happy to cook bespoke dishes. Quality of food is top class, all made fresh to order and is made with love. If you live in Manchester and don’t go you mustn’t be well.

Hospitality was absolutely superb. We have been many times and it goes better every time. The staff are excellent company and very entertaining and make our evening special. Tracy, Joanna, Chris and Richie are very attentive. Long may it continue!! Susan & Stephen Horridge
