good
Cafe 21 – Newcastle City CentreI would not recommend this place, I asked for a packet of chips, and paid with a ten pound note. The lad tried to fob me off with some random note as change, which wasn't legal tender. When i brought this to the gentleman's attention, i was rudely informed that he received the note from a prior transaction, so therefore was fine. Upon hearing my revulsion, he snatched the chips and give me my tenner back after i displayed my chagrain . I hope that this so called business goes under as they are charlatans. Or robbing bastards, in common parlance.
Munchies – Newcastle City Centrehave visited this restaurant twice lately at a lunch time, it was fantastic, value for money and lovely food. the service was great too, well worth a try.
Happiness Inn – Newcastle City CentreFood was very good and portions very large! Service great as were the surroundings
Reza Restaurant – Newcastle City CentreI found Noosh to be a very pleasant evening. The decor is very relaxing and the staff are attentive and patient. The selection of wines is superb and the head waiter is happy to take time out to explain which dishes best suit your meal. The food was beyond my expectations, cooked to perfection and presented with obvious care and time.
Reza Restaurant – Newcastle City CentreWe are regulars at Raj because, the staff very friendly, polite and helpful, this includes the owner who always speaks even if we just pass in the street. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced, especially their pre 9pm special which runs Sunday to Friday, also unlike some restaurants the specials are not smaller than the normal menu and there is a good choice on the special menu. Really recommend and we will be going again soon.
Raj Tandoori – Newcastle City CentreCan't really comment on the food as we didn't actually get any! We were made to wait 15 minutes in an empty bar before our drinks order was taken, shown to what can only be described as a conference style table for 30 - there was 6 of us so we refused it and, the icing on the cake, sat for over an hour without any contact from any member of staff observing other diners who had arrived after us, being served their food. We should have known when the table to our left cheered as their rice arrived, that this was going to be an experience. They had received their main course 30 minutes earlier and had been repeatedly asking for the accompaniments. After over an hour we decided to leave. My husband was manhandled back into the dining room and the waiting staff tried to physically sit us back down. They told us the starters were coming but we tried to politely tell them it was too late and we were leaving. They actually barred the doors! We paid for the one round of drinks we had barely touched and were finally allowed to leave! If it hadn't been so scary it would have been comical. At no point did anyone say sorry which at the very least is a disgrace. We walked to Stowell Street, went to the Landmark where we were greeted like old friends, impeccably served and well fed. I will never enter Latif restaurant again and nor will anyone I know! Bad on all levels.
Latif Balti Restaurant – Newcastle City Centrelovely jubbly, great food will recommend, great ordering system
Curry Cottage – Newcastle City CentreHaving been a curry fanatic for many years, this is the best takeaway I have ever had the pleasure mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. In fact I will order one now.
Curry Cottage – Newcastle City CentreScrummy food, authentic Chinese hospitality.
Chinatown Express – Newcastle City Centrei love the cluny so much. there cider is good and their falafel is brilliant. only problem is, keep losing on the bloody quiz machine. lolololol
The Cluny – Newcastle City CentreSorry this is not a recommendation ...........this is constructive comments about the Bistro which looks lovely on entering with lots of great features, its just a pity the food lets them down. The choice was very poor. My started was good beetroot with very little feta and a few leaves, my partner had pate this looked better than taste as it was just a slab of garlic. Main course....choice a bit poor but settled for Onlet steak medium and my partner Fish and Chips......................my steak was very rare I had asked for medium , I couldn't eat it, and the chips were tiny bitty end of frozen chips . My partners meal was frozen fish and chips . We left after that , we did complain and they removed the service charge which I think we should not be paying anyway. I have since spoken to a colleague who went the day after with friends, there was four of them and they had the extact same experience .Bistro looked great food not so good very rare meat and frozen chips , they also complained but nothing was done. Now come on Hotel Du Vin get your finger out and turn out some decent food listen to your customers . If your going to have a restaurant which has had lots spent on it then you should provide top notch food to compliment the surrondings
Hotel Du Vin and Bistro – Newcastle City CentreConsistently good food, family atmosphere and child friendly. We have been customers for 20+ years now (Previously 'Mario's' in city centre) so really pleased when La Vita opened in Heaton. From Pasta and Pizza to the specials on the board you will be guaranteed something delicious at a wide range of prices - happy hour is cheap enough for every student.
La Vita – Newcastle City CentreThis is one of my favourite restaurants I have visited. The location is superb as it is just a quick pleasant walk to the bars afterwards if you wish to extend your evening! We were greeted by pleasant staff and the service was very prompt, despite it being a busy Friday night we were not waiting long at all for our excellent food. (Which is so reasonably priced). So flavoursome and leaves you wanting more! I will definitely be returning this weekend when I go to Newcastle.
Prima – Newcastle City Centreprobably the best Italian outside Italy food fantastic enjoy every visit to peppys

So hungry, and were looking for halal food. luckily we saw Taste of Persia. Guess what? Food was superb, hot and tasty. I don't find in my country Malaysia. I wish to come back again one day
A Taste Of Persia – Newcastle City CentreAuthentic, 'real' INDIAN food. Although not a criticism of other food claiming to be Indian (more Cox's Bazaar), close your eyes and you can imagine yourself back in India. Enjoy 5*****!
