Excellent service, great value and brilliant atmosphere

My favourite restaurant, went here recently with my daughter. Food was absolutely delicious as per usual. Already looking forward to returning.

Amazing food. Great friendly staff. The staff recommended ewhat we should order and it was perfect. Very accomodating staff. Beautiful building and great vibe on a Friday evening.

Lovely food and service.

The food and service are top class and friendly. The renovation is really cosy and high end but still feels like a local place to chill out. Portion sizes are pretty huge so we swerved the pudding list on our Anniversary lunch.

Great food and lovely size portions. Just a little disappointed that when I asked for a bottle of Pinot Grigio, I was given ‘I ❤️Pinot Grigio which is bought from Tesco at £6. I did ask could I have the £18 bottle which was the only one on the wine list. Not sure how much I would have been charged the Tesco bottle if I had it.

2nd visit to The Whitchaff Inn. A very enjoyable lunch, friendly staff, lovely hot food, pleasant spacious surroundings.

Food was absolutely amazing, staff were so lovely and the new renovation is stunning. Will definitely be back and recommending it to lots of people.

Went on Friday at 1pm. Restaurant was very busy. Immediately shown to table & asked if we wanted drinks. Order for food taken promptly & served. Excellent staff food delicious piping hot & lots of it. Price very reasonable. Will be back again thanks so much

Pleasant lunch good menu generally well priced good staff would recommend

It was a very busy time that we ate Sunday. The restaurant was full with staff running around endlessly. We did arrive early & there was nowhere initially for my 90 year old grandad to sit until they re-arranged the table for us. The waiting staff tried their best but I can’t help but think that a co-ordinator was needed to ease the flow somewhat & ensure they were dealing with what was needed at the time. Some of our food was wrong, things we’d asked to be removed & my wife found a slice of plastic food wrapper in her food, which was refunded. We missed the Sunday dinner too as it wasn’t on your menu but instead on a board near the gents toilets. There was a large table that complained & the lady was very hostile towards a staff member who looked close to tears. Having that co-ordinator there to speak to the public if there are any issues would have been ideal as I really did feel for the girl who got the brunt of the orders being incorrect. It really shouldn’t have been for her to deal with. Overall however we loved the food other than the wrapper mishap. Atmosphere I’ve scored low, it did feel like we were in the middle of a whirl wind at times, food flying past, cutlery being taken from the cabinet etc. Service was great the young staff really did do their best. Value for money scored highest, good quality food at a price I was more than happy to pay. We will be back but maybe at a quieter time Well done to all the waiting staff, they deserve a little treat & a huge well done Little extra would have been colouring books, pencils for the table behind just to keep kids occupied at the table :-)
