Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeWe loved Cafe Fish, the best fish we've had for a very long time, our food was absolutely delicious.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeWe had delicious seafood and fantastic service. Would definitely recommend.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeFabulous . A warm welcome , really great food , fast and friendly service . We really couldn’t have asked for more . If we are lucky enough to return to Mull we will be back .
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeOur first visit to this restaurant. We had pre booked a table for a meal after being at a show in the nearby King's Theatre. We were greeted and promptly seated. Drinks order was taken and then another lady (family member?) explained the menu. This is not your 'usual' UK chinese menu. It was explained that the dishes are inspired by the Xiang region of central China. The level of spice/heat in any of the dishes can be altered to suit your palate. We ordered three appetizers between 4 of us and that was more than enough. The main courses were also generous portions and delicious....ginger chicken x 2, kung pao chicken and a chilli chicken. Three dishes between the four of us would probably have been enough. Sides were fried rice x 2 and a portion of chips, again, portions were generous. Including five soft drinks, the total bill was £110. Well worth it for the taste sensations and level of service. The only downside we noticed was that the aircon was a bit fierce and, in addition to the restaurant door being left open, it was a bit cool for our liking. Also of note are the spotlessly clean toilets. We will be back!
Dun Dun Xiang – GlasgowAmazing end to our trip to Tobermory - it's a must if you can get a table. Scallops were the highlight - will be thinking about them for a long time to come.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeHighly recommend Cafe Fish. Service was friendly and attentive. Largest scallops I have ever been served and they were delicious. We also enjoyed the hummus appetizer and curry soup.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeThis place is a gem. As a seafood lover, the menu made it hard to choose. The service was excellent, everyone we spoke with were so friendly and kind. We requested a table with a view when we made the reservation months ago and they had the perfect corner table all ready for us. It’s a cute, friendly restaurant with delicious meals and an excellent Spotify playlist. We asked about it and now it’s our go to playlist as well. You must eat here.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeFrequent visitor to Tobermory (16th visit this time) and always go to Cafe Fish. Never disappoints. Great choice of dishes, helpful, friendly service.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeWe had such a great meal at Cafe Fish which genuinely lived up to its reputation. Deciding what to order was the first challenge, but the seafood gratin was absolutely delicious — creamy, rich and packed with amazing, fresh seafood. We also had the langoustine, which was equally as good and perfectly cooked. What really made us smile was hearing a couple of other guests saying that it was the best meal they’d had on their whole trip, if not ever! We even heard other diners trying to book a table for the following night before they left — which says everything! We would have done the same if we were staying longer. It was definitely one of those meals that you remember long after you’ve finished eating. As well as the food, the atmosphere was lovely, welcoming, and unrushed, despite only being able to get an 8.30pm reservation - all accompanied by a really great music playlist! Trying to convince myself that it’s worth the trip back to Mull just for dinner at Cafe Fish! If you’re visiting Tobermory - it’s not to be missed!
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeMy Aunty and I had a beautiful meal at the Golden Lion for my mother’s birthday. My mother Margaret Connell worked at the Golden Lion in the 1960’s when she was a young lady. It was a lovely afternoon, the hotel restaurant Cronies is beautiful and unspoiled. Thank you to all the wonderful staff who made our visit memorable. Elaine
The Golden Lion Hotel – StirlingWe had a superb dining experience with a relaxed atmosphere and an impressive specials menu offering an abundance of choice. The service was genuinely welcoming, always polite and friendly. All three courses were perfectly cooked — Café Fish truly showcases fresh local produce at its very best, with a standard, quality and taste equal to any Michelin‑starred restaurant. The views over Tobermory are fantastic, adding to the whole experience. We couldn’t fault a single thing, and we’re already planning to return.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeAbsolutely loved Cafe Fish. Americans here and we travel all over the world as we are retired now. Sarah and I have not had fish, scallops, salmon, trout and these fish entrees anywhere else like we did at Cafe Fish. Absolutely wonderful food and atmosphere. Reservations are absolutely required and cash or bank transfer only. Don't forget that. We will definitely book a stay in Tobermory just to eat here again.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeWe had an exceptionally good meal here on monday night. We were last in at 8.30 but everything was still on the menu. Gravalax starter tasted delicious followed by Hake with celeriac mash and a black pudding crumb and a filled sole with fresh vegetables. All expertly cooked and beautifully flavoured. Best meal of the year in Scotland.
